Ex Indians update

odd start for sonny gray so far tonight - thru 3 innings he has 8 k's v the reds - in those 3 innings he's struck out every batter in the reds lineup except one - he's also given up 2 hr's and 3 runs

Did I miss where Sonny Gray was an ex Indian?

Holy shit.

I knew the Dodgers were loaded, but they can afford to just DFA someone who signed a 9-figure extension?!?!

Hundreds of millions of dollars, just like that!? And why are they DFA'ing such a good player to begin with? Are they tanking?

@thestatman please make sense of this!

Unless i am missing something, he is 1 year 1.5 million.

I know this might be crazy, but I would take Amed, maybe option Schneeman back down, Amed is a proven hitter with less than average defense. Still have to keep Rocchio for defense, but with the expanded rosters are coming soon. I think a .300 hitting shortstop even with bad defense would help.

And we know he will fit in with the team, best friends with Jose? Everyone will fall in line that doesnt know him for sure out of respect to Jose.

You must be missing something.

@thestatman told this section that Amed would be getting a 9-figure contract. After all, Amed led the league in hits!

I don't know what podunk outlets you get your information from, but they should recheck those numbers. They must have missed a few zeroes!

Lee I thought you understood humor...

Amed is free to grab right now, but with the injury to Hentges, and arms in DFA limbo I'm thinking if they pick up anyone it would be an arm, but they aren't against grabbing a veteran bat...

Our old pal Enyel De Los Santos got absolutely bombed last night for the Yankees.

1 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 7 ER.

His ERA for the season is 5.79. His ERA with the Yankees specifically is 14.21 (10 ER in 6.1 IP).
