FANTASY FOOTBALL 2017

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In a keeper/dynasty hybrid. I call it that because we change the number of keepers each year. This year we are dropping from 6 to 5..then 4 down to 3...then back up to 6. It's PPR. It's also 2QB.

Right now, I'm loaded.

QB C Newton
RB L Bell
RB E Elliott

RB D Henry
WR D Hopkins
WR M Thomas
WR J Jones

TE R Gronkowski

Those are all of my keeper worthy players from last year. Right now, the RED names are who I plan on keeping.

Any disagreements there?

Which of the red names would you try trading? Julio?

I'd consider keeping Gronk over one of your receivers simply because there are basically two or three elite TEs in the NFL right now and he's one of them.

Tough call, though.

Had my first dynasty rookie draft this year. I didn't have a first round pick, as I flipped it for Joe Mixon during our start-up draft, a trade I expect to pay dividends this year. My pick would have been 1.08. I owned the rest of my picks and no additional ones.

My draft:
2.08 - James Washington
3.08 - John Kelly
4.08 - Antonio Callaway
5.08 - Mark Andrews

Pretty happy with that. Washington and Callaway are both two of the best prospects from this draft. Washington may be the best, and he fell due to being in a poor situation in Pittsburgh behind Brown and JuJu. Callaway fell even further due to his character concerns coupled with a poor landing spot in Cleveland.

Kelly reminds me a lot of Hunt last year, in that he's not an elite athlete, but he is very elusive when you watch him play. He's constantly breaking and dodging tackles, which is exactly what you want to see from a potential NFL back. Not a fan of his team situation behind Gurley, but all it takes is an injury to Gurley (and backs often get injured following supremely high-usage seasons) and Kelly is all systems go.

With Andrews, there just wasn't much else out there. He's a very good TE prospect and it's a TE premium league (.75 PPR compared to .5 for other positions). And I know Baltimore took another TE before him, but I can't imagine they took Andrews only to not use him in the receiving game.

I also grabbed Trenton Cannon in free agency after the draft. Seems like he could have some potential as a satellite back and he's in a rebuilding situation where he may get some burn if he shows well in camp. Whatever.
