Fantasy Football 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Guys like Mixon, Fournette, Diggs, Evans.

Because I only seem to draft top six every other year, I never really get a crack at the best players. So all those mid-tier RB1s and WR1s are sucking ass so far.

Fournette had an ok game, but even he didn't meet projections. In my four leagues I am 2-6 so far. Worst start ever.

I drafted zero Mike Evans, but that's because I am a founding member of the Cult of Godwin, as you know from our PMs. I also drafted zero Diggs/Thielen, because the only guy I wanted in Minny this year was Cook. Once Zimmer fired DeFilippo and replaced him with a yes man who only wanted to run the ball, I was out on the Minny passing game.

I do still think Mixon will be fine, though. And while I am of the Cult of Godwin, Evans is going to get his eventually. He's a big, fast target. He's going to catch five to ten touchdown bombs this year.

I pulled the trigger on that Watkins and Josh Jacobs for Lev Bell trade. Let’s see how it goes.

Offered Diggs for Kerryon in my other .5 ppr league. I want to get Diggs off that team, it’s 0-2 and underachieving terribly.

Managed to snag Dalvin Cook at 28th overall and dropped the Pittsburgh D/ST for Tyrell Williams immediately after Antonio Brown was released.

Probably the two best moves I’ve made in fantasy so far. Cook has been my MVP and Williams has had solid production as my flex.

Cook still being there at 28 was fucking criminal.

Pretty sure someone picked Devonta Freeman right before I picked him... YIKES

I happily own Freeman in exactly zero of my 15ish leagues. He was on my do not draft list along with Diggs, Thielen, and a bunch of other guys. Cook was the one guy I wanted in that offense.

Obviously do not draft is dependent on ADP. If Thielen fell to the fifth, I'm taking him, for example. But in the third? No thanks. I'd rather have a guy like Boyd or Godwin there.

John Ross and DJ Chark have to be the two most out of nowhere WR breakouts I've ever seen. Like, these guys were total dog shit last year.

Also, I wish Fleaflicker would let me cut a player during a game, because I am fucking done with Corey Davis in dynasty.

I loved Chark coming out of college. He plays a very physical game and has great speed for the position. I'm not high on Ross... he is putting together some big plays but still has ugly dropped passes. His usage and targets are due to come down when Green is back.

Yeah, I mean, Chark was a second rounder and he's got a pretty great athletic profile. He didn't do the three cone, so no idea about his agility, but he's one of the fastest guys in the NFL and he's 6'3. I'm just kind of surprised he's breaking out after doing absolutely nothing last year. Usually guys show a little something the year before doing what he's done so far this year.

Like, it was easy to see the Christian Kirk breakout coming. He had almost 600 yards last year in the NFL's worst offense, and this year he got a new, better QB and a coach who actually intends to run an offense. It was also easy to see the Dante Pettis breakout...shit. Well, you win some, you lose some. Luckily I ended up with a ton of Kirk and almost no Pettis this year.

So in the past year, I've traded a ton of guys from my main dynasty league for a variety of players and assets. Here's a list:

Devonta Freeman - Went on IR a few weeks after I traded him last year and now he looks done.
Will Dissly - Literally got hurt a few days after I included him in the Freeman trade.
Quincy Enunwa - Went on IR with a neck injury.
David Njoku - IR.
Melvin Gordon - Holding out.
Cam Newton - Hurt, looks like he might be done.
Adam Thielen - Has an OC who hates passing.

Being traded from my team is like the fantasy equivalent of being put in a body bag. Pray for Tyler Boyd.

Also, I am never under any circumstances trading another Browns player (I have Mayfield and Chubb right now).

Was able to snag Jordan Wilkins and Phillip Dorsett in my pay league today - cut Anthony Miller and Trey Burton to free up the room.

I've got Mack as my RB1, so I'm glad to get his handcuff, especially if he misses this week. Dorsett is a huge upgrade over Miller right now, especially with AB leaving town.

I cut Anthony Miller from my dynasty team with 30-man rosters. Dude's toast.

My paid lineup today:

QB - Watson
RB - Mack
RB - Hyde
WR - Thomas
WR - Smith-Schuster
WR - Diggs
TE - McDonald
K - Tucker
D/ST - Titans DEF (1 point Thursday; assholes)

Have Dorsett on my bench and was extremely close to swapping him and Diggs. Of course Dorsett, Thielen, and Cook have already scored.

There is so much luck involved with this stuff.

Getting my ass beat in the RBF league, fucking @Hurl Bruce s going to have like three guys with over 30 points. SMH.

Evans won me ten bucks on Monkey Knife Fight. Put two bucks on him, Barkley, and Godwin to go over 2.5 touchdowns and Evans did it by himself.
