Fantasy Football 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I always do a public league, for the kids.

QB: Baker
Rapistburger

WR: Mike Evans
Julian Edleman
Jarvis Landry
Cooper Kupp
James Washington

RB: Saqoun Barkley
Joe Mixon
Leonard Fournette
Melvin Gordon III
Devin Singletary

TE: Jared Cook

DEF: MINN

K. Will Lutz

I'm in a keeper league where you can keep as many players as you want, but the round escalation each year is much more extreme. You can only keep one 1st/2nd rounder, and it costs a first regardless. Rounds 3/4 cost a 2nd. Round 5 a 3rd, round 6th a 4th, and so forth through the 9th round. At 10 through 20 you subtract 3 rounds from the previous year's value. Any free agents picked up during the year can be kept for a 6th rounder. You can keep two players with the same round value, but one will be a round higher, so keeping two guys that would cost a 6th rounder means losing a 5th and a 6th.

This league has expanded starters. 2QB/3RB/4WR/1TE/1K/1DEF. It's also 0PPR and 6 points per QB touchdown pass.

These are my keepers:

Saquon Barkley - 1st rounder
Adam Thielen - 7th rounder
Kenny Golladay - 10th rounder
Duke Johnson - 9th rounder
OJ Howard - 8th rounder
Derrius Guice - 12th rounder
Tyler Lockett - 13th rounder
Carson Wentz - 5th rounder
Dede Westbrook - 17th rounder

The rounds listed are the picks I will lose this year, not where they were drafted last.

Outside of Wentz, who I feel is fair in the 5th, I feel really good about the keeper values of all of these guys. Lockett in the 13th is borderline criminal, and Duke in the 9th looks fantastic right about now.

Middle of the draft is gonna be boring as fuck for me, though. :chuckle:

Did my auction hybrid league drat last night. 10 team, Superflex PPR. Start 1QB, 2RB, 2 W/T, 1 TE, 1 R/W/T, 1 Q/R/W/T, 1 D/ST,

We can keep 1 guy from the previous year. If he finished outside of the top 30 scorers from the previous year, then he's free. If he was a top 30 guy, then keeping him subtracts differing amounts from your auction budget. Then, the top 30 guys go up for auction with everyone getting a $100 budget. Snake draft after that with draft slots bought with remaining auction money.

Ended up with (picking 8th):

QB:
  • D Watson ($24)
  • M Ryan ($14)
  • J Winston (5th)
RB:
  • E Elliot ($36)
  • D Johnson (Keeper)
  • J Jacobs (1st)
  • S Michel (4th)
  • T Pollard (8th)
WR:
  • T Locket (2nd)
  • K Golladay (3rd)
  • D Westbrook (6th)
  • C Samuel (7th)
  • J Crowder (10th)
  • J Brown (11th)
TE:
  • G Kittle ($24)
  • K Rudolph (13th)
D/ST
  • LA Rams (9th)
  • LA Chargers (12th)

I could have stronger WRs, but I only need to start 2, so I think I pretty much rocked this one.

Had my 12 team, .5 PPR home league last night:

Russell Wilson
Miles Sanders, Lat Murray, Matt Breida, Royce Freeman, Justice Hill
JuJu, OBJ, Tyler Boyd, TY Hilton, DeSean Jackson, Albert Wilson
Mark Andrews
Mason Crosby
DAL

Thoughts?

Very good receiver corps. Very fine indeed.

You may want to move either Boyd or Hilton in an attempt to get a true RB1.

12 team PPR league w/ two flex spots.

Roster:

QB - Murray, Darnold

RB - Mixon, Fournette, Sanders, Drake, Hill, Armstead

WR - Hopkins, Boyd, Anderson, Davis, John Brown, Wilson, McLaurin, Chark

TE - Doyle, Hockenson

K - Elliott

DEF - Houston

Really like my RB/WRs in this league.

RBs are really stacked there if Fournette stays healthy and Mixon stays out of jail. I'm a huge Sanders supporter this year, sad I didn't get him in my league.

10 Team PPR

Pretty Meh about this team...Yahoo! gave it a D+, which I thought was harsh.

QB: Wentz

RB: D Johnson, Carson, Jacobs, Ingram, McCoy

WR: T Hill, Golladay, Westbrook, Crowder, C Davis, E Sanders

TE: OJ Howard

K: Myers

D: Saints

Is it really that bad?

Little bit weak at receiver for being a ten team league, but I think Wentz is going to be solid, your RBs are really good, Howard is a good TE this year.

D+ is way too harsh. I think that's a B- team because of the wideouts being a bit sketchy.

Yahoo is dumb and I don't think they've updated shit in days.

Yesterday when I had two drafts they had not updated LeSean McCoy's situation.

Fantasy draft grades are probably the dumbest thing to happen to fantasy football since K/DST were added.

I have Sanders in so many leagues that he's almost surely going to be a bust. :chuckle:

Draft three of three for me. Big resounding meh. I was 10th of 12. PPR with two flex. Whole bunch of question marks, if a few of them pay off then I'll be good.

Did my annual 12-team, zero PPR league with standard starters and six points per QB touchdown.

My team:

QB - Prescott, Darnold
RB - Elliott, Cook, Sanders, Singletary, Pollard, Hill
WR - Godwin, Anderson, Kirk, Coutee
TE - Kittle, Hockenson
K - Elliott
DEF - Ravens

A little light at WR (although I think Godwin is about to become a fantasy star), but I'm hopeful a couple of my rookie backs pop and then I can flip one for a WR like I did last year when I swapped Michel for Tyreek Hill.
