Fantasy Football 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd say coin flip between Scar and Guice.

Inconsequential, as I go against a lucky motherfucker who gets a TD from Michael Thomas, and Jared Cook, and Kareem Hunt, and John Brown, and Golden Tate.

Outside of the Saints duo, those guys all did absolute dick aside from their TDs.

My first and second picks have combined for a total of 26 points the last two weeks.

I'm going to finish under .500 in a fucking public league. WTF.

Evans
Kupp
Edelman
Barkley
Fournette
Mixon
Melvin Gordon
Landry
Clark Jr.

is going to finish under .500. WTF does a guy have to do to beat a bunch of shit teams.

And there's the Derrick Henry TD to get him one from everybody he started.

Which is then followed up by a kick return fumble and another Derrick Henry TD.

What a fucking joke. Went from up 50 to up 16. All I have left to play is Kittle.

...

George Kittle coming in clutch.

My dynasty teams are just slaying this year.

League 1: 10-2, 1st in points for

League 2: 9-3, 1st in points for

League 3: Either 8-4 or 9-3 depending on tomorrow's game, 2nd in points for unless Mark Andrews has a huge game.

League 4: 8-4, 1st in points for

---

League four was supposed to be a rebuild, but Godwin and Lockett ascending to WR1 status pushed the timeline forward a year.

That's dope! Godwin came up huge today. It's my first year playing fantasy but I'm tied for 3rd with two other teams. If the team in #1 and I swapped schedules, I'd be 11-1 right now. I won this week 155 to 77... I'm hoping to take this momentum through the next month. I'm trying to pick up the Green Bay defense since San Fransisco has Baltimore and New Orleans up next. So many decisions to make. I know it's early, but I think I'm making the right calls for the week. I'm just hoping my squad isn't peaking too early. Though I need it to so I can make the playoffs. Still a chance I can end up 5th or 6th. I lost to the team I'm facing next week and I need redemption.

You drafted a pretty damn good team for your first year in fantasy. Nicely done.

League four above is an interesting one because it's a contract league where we do an auction draft and you can sign anyone you win for up to four years, with their salary being what your winning bid was each year. So, if you get onto guys a year before their breakout, you can get some great deals.

I've got Godwin, Lockett, Metcalf, and Harry locked in for around five bucks total of a $200 budget for the next two to three seasons (Godwin and Lockett were drafted last year so their contracts end a year sooner). Also got Chubb, Aaron Jones, and Guice for around $23 combined for the next two seasons. It's a 2QB league, so this year I drafted Murray and Darnold and locked them in for the full four years, so three to go. I think they're around $25 to $30 combined, so not bad considering they've both looked good of late.

All those good deals are going to leave me in a good position heading into next year's draft since I have most of my roster spots locked in and a good chunk of cash to spend on the remaining spots.

That's crazy. I'm feeling overwhelmed slightly just by standard draft Fantasy. The budgeted version seems way more intense. But it looks like you have quite the squad. Insane that you have Chubb, Jones and Guice for such a low price. Are you able to sell players as well?

I was running the numbers and it looks like in my league, there's a chance the top 5 spots can be the same record next week. 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 5. I play 9... So if myself, 2 and 4 win, there are five teams with a record of 8-5... At this point, I'm hoping 1 and 2 win so I pretty much guarantee a playoff spot if I win next week, currently being roughly 100 points ahead of 4 and 170 ahead of 5. I'm terrified though. I've had 147 and then 156 points two in consecutive weeks. The bubble might burst.

You can trade guys to other teams, but you have to account for contracts, as you have to be under the cap come draft time.

You can also cut guys if you sign them to bad deals or if they start underperforming. You have to eat 1/3 of the contract value over the life of the contract, though. So, if you cut a guy signed for $6 for the next three years, you lose two bucks from your auction draft budget each of those years.

Thus, the keys to success are locking in guys to below-market deals and not fucking up too many times with bad contracts. I've got to eat $6 the next two years for cutting Royce Freeman, but that's really my only big chunk of dead money.

I took over this team last season and it was horrendous outside of Cooper Kupp and Derrick Henry, both of whom expire this season, and I've already turned it into one of the better teams in the league after two drafts. Just need one more and I think I'll be in business. One of the perks of drafting well two years straight is that my roster is only going to have a handful of empty spots going into the next draft and I'll have a good chunk of change to throw around.

Somehow the day has been salvaged.

Getting my tits lit in the RBF League because I'm starting the dregs of the talent pool thanks to injuries and byes.

But Fournette, my MVP this year, brought me to victory in two leagues and within five going into tomorrow with Kupp left to go.

Fournette was very underrated this year. I think I got him in the 3rd of 4th round in two leagues and traded for him in one.

Welp. Mike Evans was tearing it up for a bit...

I benched James Washington Sunday morning for Kittle. Thought that was really going to bite me in the ass

Up 29 and guy I’m going against has Lamar Jackson left. Not loving my chances.
