Fantasy Football 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fantasy draft grades are probably the dumbest thing to happen to fantasy football since K/DST were added.

Child, kickers have always been part of fantasy football. I won a championship with Scott Norwood as my kicker all year. Yeah, that guy.

Has anyone ever heard of or played in a league that has “reverse” scoring

Like an int or fumble is +2
-3 for a 300 yard passing game of 100 yard rushing or receiving
Points for negative rushes and sacks taken

I think it could be an interesting concept. If for nothing else because you wouldn’t have so much anchoring to experts rankings in the draft

Both my teams are very very strong this year. I think. But then again my team was easily
The best in my main league last year and then sputtered first round of the playoffs. And shit can change once games start getting played. But I feel good.

League 1:

Wentz
Amari cooper
Dj moore
Stefon diggs
Conner
Dalvin cook
Evan engram
Miles sanders

Kenyan drake
Goff
Mattison
Anthony miller
Justin jackson

League 2

Matt ryan
Mixon
James white
Julio
Thielen
Brandin cooks
Evan engram
Devin singletary
Sterling shep

Darnold
Giovani bernard
Isabella
Funchess
Ronald jones
Enunwa

Weaker bench in league two but I think ill be okay.
Optimistic.

Had my final draft of the year. It's a dynasty league with contracts. I inherited this team last year and it was not very good.

The way this league works is that it's an auction draft with a $200 budget. The amount you bid on a player is their contract. You can sign them after the draft for up to four years.

This league also has expanded rosters and is six points per QB touchdown. We start: 2QB/3RB/4WR/1TE/1K/1DEF

Given that I inherited a bad team, my goal last year was to find some value in contracts that would help carry my team the next several years. We do have the ability to cut players, but we still have to pay 1/3 of the contract value over the duration of the deal (so a $6 deal with three years left would cost you $2 a year from your auction budget). In this draft, my goal was to address the gaping hole at QB that I didn't do anything about last year (ironically, I drafted Darnold then too but only signed him to a one-year deal because the price went crazy) and try to find a few more value deals with plans to go all-in next year.

Contract values below include the upcoming season, so three years would be this year plus two.

My team (new players in bold):

QB - Kyler Murray ($15)
QB - Sam Darnold ($12)

QB - Case Keenum ($4, expiring)

RB - David Johnson ($39, expiring)
RB - Nick Chubb ($12, 3 years left)
RB - Derrius Guice ($11, 3 years left)
RB - Aaron Jones ($1, 3 years left)
RB - Derrick Henry ($17, expiring)
RB - Royce Freeman ($3)
RB - Darrell Henderson ($4)

WR - Chris Godwin ($1, 3 years left)
WR - Tyler Lockett ($2, 2 years left)
WR - Cooper Kupp ($7, 2 years left)
WR - Golden Tate ($3)
WR - Dante Pettis ($4)
WR - DK Metcalf ($3)
WR - Keke Coutee ($1)
WR - N'Keal Harry ($3)

TE - David Njoku ($5, 3 years left)
TE - TJ Hockenson ($5)

K - Matt Bryant ($1)

DEF - Browns ($2)
- Note: Homer pick and I had extra money at the end.

Still gotta decide how long to extend the bolded players. Given that this is a 2QB league, I am probably going to extend both Darnold and Murray for all four years. Hopefully both guys break out this year and leave me mostly set at QB. I'm already set at RB for the next several years. I'm weaker at WR, but should walk into next year's draft with a big chunk of money to spend and only a couple of holes in my roster. Even if I extend every new player for the full four years (and I obviously won't bother with the kicker or defense), I'll have around $100 in a $200 draft next fall and hopefully around 2/3 of my roster filled.

Rounding out my leagues:

I think I need to add a proper RB1 to go with Chubb. Like my WRs though.

If Gordon is traded or ends his hold-out, he would be the final gem in my gauntlet and I would throttle the league:

You should be okay with Carson and you have Singletary who I’m guessing will fully take over in Buffalo and looks promising.

David Johnson, Duke, Lat Murray, RFreeman, DHenderson, Dare
Diggs, Boyd, ARob, DJMoore, MJones

Engram
Tucker
Chargers D/ST

Wilson vs. CIN or Newton vs. LAR?

I’m thinking Wilson at home vs Cincy, but Newton projects higher this week.

Heads up...

Like some hot MFF threeway action, Ekeler and Jackson are going to share the load in LA.

Picked up Singletary for my flex in one of my leagues. I ain’t even mad about it.

I'd go Cam if he's healthy. That game has more shootout potential imo. Although keep an eye on the weather in Charlotte, as if the hurricane hits us this weekend the wind conditions may be a little volatile.

2QB league, 6pt QBTD, PPR

Being offered this trade.

My: K Murray, C Carson, M Thomas

His: P Mahomes, T Coleman, C Kupp

My QBs are Watson, Jackson, Murray

His reply when I declined was "Mahomes is the jewel of the league!" and that is why I have the best all-time record in this league.

Am I wrong here?

Lol, not at all. Horrendous trade proposal.

Sat Cam in favor of Wilson today. So far that seems to be the overwhelmingly correct call.
