Fantasy Football 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sony Michel giveth and taketh away

Week 7 needed 17 points to win, he gave me 21.9
Week 9 I needed 5 points to win, he gave me 3.5
Sadly he’s my best running back in my one league. I’ve managed a winning record somehow.

He was my #3, but then Kerryon Johnson got hurt and David Johnson has been out. Started Johnson and sat Edmonds when Edmonds had his huge game. Started Edmonds the following week, but he did nothing before getting hurt. Sat Drake this week when he went off

I'm about to be 2-7. My team isn't good, but it isn't 2-7 terrible.

I had Conner, then traded him for Kerryon. I would have been screwed either way from the looks of it.

Jabrill Peppers of all people helping carry my dynasty team to victory tonight. 11.5 points and counting.

I keep losing in my Public League. Going to be 4-5. Was going to win until Amari Cooper scored 10 points in one play after doing nothing all game.

And I finish out the season playing the top five teams in the league somehow.

My only comfort is that those teams are inferior, but then again, I've been losing to inferior teams all damn year. Somehow.

Somehow because I have the fewest points scored against me in the entire league. I don't understand how that is possible.

Any recommendations for D/ST this week? I’ve got the Bills in one (but I’m also starting OBJ), New England in the other (they’re on a bye).

I'm really tempted to let my opponent win in my main dynasty league this week. I'm three games ahead of second place right now and the guy I'm playing has the tie-breaker with two guys whose pick I own and all three are currently sitting at 4-5.

The downside to this is that I have a fairly tough schedule after this week, playing two of the top four teams in the league and another guy who is 3-6 but has a much better team than that record implies (Wilson, Zeke, Gordon, Kupp, Thielen, etc.). I've also got a lot of byes coming up in week 11 (Rodgers, Barkley, and Lockett), so I kind of feel like this is playing with fire, especially since I'm one win away from locking down a playoff spot. The way things are playing out, though, I could be looking at two top five draft picks in the 2020 rookie draft, and thus giving this guy a win to ensure he stays tied with or a game ahead of the other two could pay dividends in the draft.

Tough call.

Has this been something that people have done before in your league? If not I’d just ask if you’d be alright with it if you were one of those 4-5 teams and another team let someone you were tied with win due to draft considerations. If it were a money league I’d probably be pretty pissed

I don't know if it's been done or not. And I'm not just going to not start guys. Just wouldn't pick an optimal line-up. If I still win, so be it. I feel like my only obligation to the league is to pick a line-up of active players. Beyond that, I can start whoever I want.

Let me also note that this team is pretty loaded, so even a bad lineup could still pop off. My worst receiver is probably Corey Davis (not counting my taxi squad guys since I can't start them anyway) and my worst RB that I'd actually start (not gonna start Pollard since that's essentially just not starting a guy) would be Duke Johnson or Damien Williams, and Duke is on bye so he's not an option anyway. Although I guess Mixon is probably an even worse start than Williams at this point.

As a fun aside, I opted not to change my line-up (Rodgers, Barkley, Chubb, Godwin, Lockett, Allen, Henry + IDP) and the guy I'm playing had two IDP guys score over twenty tonight, so I might lose even with my best line-up. :chuckle:

Conner injury is killing me. I'm ridiculously thin at RB in a 12 team league where there is nothing on the waiver wire. Might be forced to start Frank Gore this week. Ugh.

You did not draft Samuels as insurance?

I missed out on the Melvin Gordon lotto ticket in two leagues and I am pissed I did.

However, in one league I have Kamara, Fournette, Conner/Samuels and now with Gordon back to form I am about to sodomize the league like so many twinks.

My season is already pretty much over. Even if I win out, I highly, highly doubt I would be able to snag the 6 seed in the playoffs (I'm 2-whatever).

Still though, I like to compete and play spoiler. Who should I throw at RB this week (need to play 2) - Mack, Breida, and Jamaal Williams are my options.
