Fantasy Football 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Keeper Question - and I know I'll ask this again this upcoming summer, but oh well.

I do an 8 teamer, PPR/6pt QB TD, 2 QB league. We can keep 3 this year. In theory, I can keep the three I go with in perpetuity. We increase to 4 next year then 5 then 6 then back down to 3 from there.

Now, because it is an 8 teamer and each team will have good players, my theory has always been for positional dominance as opposed to normal theory of RB/WR having priority over QB/TE.

My options, and they are good, are keeping 3 out of the following:
  • Michael Thomas
  • Deandre Hopkins
  • Julio Jones
  • Tyreke Hill
  • Lamar Jackson
  • Derrick Henry
  • Deshaun Watson
The bolded is who I am leaning towards. Julio would be my next choice. Jackson is just so young and potentially could be my guy for a long time. I normally would not take a QB over a WR. It being a 2 QB league also makes a difference.

What do you think?
That is probably the 3 players I would keep as well. They are the most irreplaceable and likely to remain consistently dominant through out the year.

In 2QB I definitely agree you should keep a QB since the field is much thinner since most teams will roster at least three.

Leave it to Mixon to finally tear it up after the season.

Kamara has been such a bust this year.

Of course I finally get a Top-4 pick and it ends up burning me.

If any of you guys with a Twitter account wouldn't mind retweeting or liking this, I'd appreciate it. Trying to get fleaflicker to add all play to their site.

All these moves today helped highlight how absurdly fucking lucky I've been in my money dynasty league.

Stretching back into last summer, I've traded:
Melvin Gordon - Held out for multiple games and now faces an uncertain future away from the fantasy-friendly Chargers offense.
Adam Thielen - Hurt and had a down year. I'd expect a bounce-back this year, though.
Christian Kirk - Went from being the top WR in a dynamic offense to second banana to DeAndre Hopkins, and I think he had a WR2 fantasy ceiling anyway.
David Njoku - Missed pretty much all of 2019 and now the Browns brought in major TE competition.
Cam Newton - Missed the whole 2019 season and there are reports that he wouldn't pass a physical right now.
Tyler Boyd - He has a pretty solid outlook with the Bengals likely getting an upgrade at QB, but I still think he's a WR2, not an alpha.

I've received:
Joe Mixon - The Bengals look to be on the upswing offensively and Mixon will be a major beneficiary of that.
Odell Beckham - This year can't be any worse than last season, right? And his play last season was the main reason I was able to trade for him at all.
Robby Anderson - Decent depth piece and spot starter. Hoping he either stays in New Jersey with Darnold or goes to Green Bay.
Diontae Johnson - Technically I traded for the pick I used to draft him, but whatever. He looked really damn good last year and he may have stolen JuJu's role as the alpha in Pittsburgh.
The 2020 1.02 - Going to draft a (hopefully) stud RB with this pick. I love Swift, Taylor, Dobbins, and Akers to varying degrees and all could be the guy here. Gotta see how the draft plays out.
A 2020 4th for 3rd pick swap that moved me from the 4.10 to the 3.01.
A 2021 4th rounder.

Further, after holding on to David Johnson too long, his value just got a shot in the arm by going to Houston and now I may actually be able to get a decent return for him. I've got Chase Edmonds too, who likely gets a boost in value with DJ gone.

I've also got DeAndre Hopkins and I feel like his value remained relatively unchanged.

My main projects this offseason are finding suitable trades for Tyler Lockett and David Johnson. With DJ I may stretch it into the season, because I feel like he's going to get volume in Houston given that they traded Hopkins for him. Lockett is just depth at this point so I'd like to trade him while he still has a high value.

Hey guys! Is this an appropriate thread for asking for FF advice? I just joined an existing dynasty league (I've only done standard season leagues) and I've inherited an old team and trying to make sense of my current team and how I should approach moving forward. Also my first time have IDPs so I'm a little out of my depth!
