Fantasy Football 2020!!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Am I crazy for wanting to start Jalen Hurts over Matt Ryan in a superflex playoff game?

Fantasy is fucking dumb.

I’ve got the RB4, WR7, and K2 starting and they have combined for 14.3 points.

Meanwhile, every single starter for my opponent is booming with 20+ points.

I don't know who has been less lucky, myself or @Man Called X for me to be in this. But between Connor and the PIT D putting up 5.8 points right now is the final humiliation when I only need about 10 points to win. And pulling Conner from the game.

For fucks sake.
Don't worry. Landry will give you the win.

I think that field goal gave it to you.

Unless Connor starts doing some work I think Landry will put in a mediocre performance. 4 REC 47 yards type day.
Bah. You'll get .2 points enough from Landry to knock out my Cinderella run.

Been an up and down year with all the injuries, but I've got a great chance of advancing in all four of my pay leagues, and ultimately that's all that really matters. Two are already decided. The other two come down to tomorrow night.

Advanced to the semis in all four pay leagues. Feels good. Started Jonathan Taylor in three of them after holding him all year through the ups and downs. Feels even better.

I've got a redraft team that currently has Kamara, Aaron Jones, Taylor, Swift, Sanders, and Akers. I don't even know who to fucking start any more. :chuckle:

And with the year coming to an end, I thought I'd reflect on my best and worst trades of the year...

Best:
David Johnson, Duke Johnson, Keenan Allen, & a 2021 2nd for Davante Adams
Obviously a dynasty trade. I gave up a lot, and didn't expect Keenan Allen to ball out as much as he has this year, but being able to stack Rodgers and Adams all year has been amazing.

Jerrick McKinnon for Brandon Aiyuk
Sadly, this was a redraft trade, but I made it right before McKinnon became totally irrelevant again and Aiyuk has been killing it every week and helped get me through a couple of bye weeks.

Worst:
James Robinson for Parris Campbell
Did this right before week two when Campbell sprained his MCL and hasn't been seen since. Meanwhile, Robinson went nuclear. It's dynasty, so still a chance I win this one in the end, but man with all the RB injuries I've dealt with this year, it would have been great to hold onto Robinson. At least Taylor and Akers, who I drafted in the rookie draft, are finally rounding into form.

Wash:
Mike Williams for Teddy Bridgewater
The ultimate who gives a fuck trade. This was in dynasty and my only two starting QBs were Rodgers and Mayfield, and Mayfield as we all know looked like hot trash for the first half of the year. I wanted someone cheap who had a decent weekly floor and this was the trade I was able to make. Bridgewater started one game for me and he played well, so we'll call it a win.

Darren Waller & a 2021 4th for Terry McLaurin
I think I easily win this one long-term, but for this year it was a wash.

I missed the playoffs in all but one league and then lost in the first round.

Seems a fitting end to my career.

Looking over this week's playoffs, how is it I am the only guy to have people on the COVID list week in and week out?

No one was immune from injuries and covid this year. It impacted everyone. Maybe not equally, but that's fantasy football. A chunk of it is always going to be luck and randomness.

I have a dynasty team with the following players who missed time this year:

Michael Thomas
Dak Prescott
Aaron Jones
Marlon Mack
Chris Godwin
Kenny Golladay
George Kittle
Joe Mixon
Mark Andrews
Chris Carson

Still made the playoffs and won round one.

Overall, I made the playoffs in four of my five dynasty leagues, one of two keeper leagues, my sole redraft league, and am in the final three of the guillotine league that @Hurl Bruce has been hosting since last year.

Bad luck happens in fantasy, but if it's consistently happening in every league you're in every year, maybe it's not luck? I had worse luck than normal this year and still made the playoffs in over half my leagues.

Main thing I'm kicking myself for this year is activating Hurts off the taxi squad in the RCF Dynasty league and then forgetting to start him over Matt Ryan this week because I got sidetracked. Cost me the fucking game.

I wanted to draft hurts so bad and you got him a couple picks before me. Was like the 3rd round or something.
Good pick.

Good pick.

Ironically, that was one of the picks you gave me in the trade for the pick you drafted Jefferson with.

Assuming Hurts and Lock continue to be starters for at least another year, that trade probably ends up pretty even. You got a great player. I got two starting QBs (in superflex) and a 2nd in two years.

Going against Lamar and Andrews and of course those dickheads are throwing the ball In a blowout in the 4th and hook up for a TD that probably will be the difference in my matchup.

Going to the finals in my money league despite missing two of my top 5 picks.
Dalvin Cooks carried me all season.

Well, made the Finals in two of my four pay leagues. Not a bad year.

Ok guys, in the championship game in one league.

Do I start Tannehill, Herbert, or grab Hurts against Dallas?
