Fantasy Football 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I keep going back and forth on those two. It's a keeper league, so I'd be able to keep them for at least the following 3 years at no cost if I wanted to.

I really like the idea of having Mahomes, Hill, and CEH and being a part of pretty much any offensive TD that high powered offense scores too.

On pure talent, I like Swift though, and I totally agree on the offensive line in Detroit. That's why I'm struggling so much.

I just don’t think Swift will get the volume that CEH will. They brought in Jamaal Williams and he is absolutely going to steal touches from Swift. Who else does KC have? Always injured McKinnon?

Anyone wanna bet that, if they're healthy, Swift gets more touches than CEH?

I'll go so far as to bet that Darrel Williams scores more points in fantasy this year than Jamaal Williams.

In 13 games last year, CEH only put up 803 rushing and 297 receiving yards. He only got 36 catches. Bell was only there for seven of those 13 games, and Bell only had more than seven rushes twice in that timespan.

I think it's just safe to say that the modern Chiefs offense doesn't go through their running back--while at the same time, everything I can see says that the Detroit offense most assuredly will.

The issue is that I expect the Lions to be terrible and playing from behind a lot. I expect the Chiefs to score a ton of points, which means a bigger piece of the pie for everyone.

I think the Lions will be one of the worst teams in football.

I don't believe that necessarily means their RB will be garbage for fantasy.

James Robinson was just RB7 on a one-win team. In 2019, Joe Mixon was RB11 on a two-win team. In ’18, David Johnson was RB10 on a three-win team.

I see a good offensive line, a coach who appears committed to smash mouth football and pounding the rock, and a QB who can do just enough to keep the defense from putting 9 in the box. I'm eyeing Swift in the third. I have Swift above Najee, CEH and Carson.

I'm well aware that I'm higher than average on him.

Jamaal Williams is an exceptional late-round target as well

A league I am in locally is doing a series of beer-in-hand type contests to determine draft order. People will get points for their finishing spot in each contest and then to top guy gets to pick his draft slot. Second place gets 2nd choice, etc...

However, there are a couple guys that do not live locally and will not be able to participate. How do we make it so they don't get screwed but also don't get handed a good draft slot without "earning" it?

One suggestion was to have them pick a horse in every contest and get whatever their points are and not being able to pick the same guy twice.

The other suggestion is them just picking a draft choice number out of a hat so it is totally random.

Is there a most fair way to do this?

Rank the draft slots! 12 team PPR. Which slot is the best down to the worst?

I like picking at the end of the round, personally, although nowadays the league is so deep that it really doesn't matter. Used to be getting two first round talents by picking 12 and 13 was a huge edge, but now at 24 you can get people like CEH and it's really leveled the playing field.

I won the Beerlympics and ended up with the first overall. I was drunk, and they wanted me to decide in the moment, so I just went with the top pick since I never pick there.

If I were to trade down to the 7/8 range. or 11/12 range, what would be good value? Picks only.

Trying to find another league for this season. Anyone have one with an opening? If so, PM me. Thanks!

Trying to figure out draft strategy/roster constuction for an Eliminator League I am in. It's best ball and a team is eliminated each week. In the past, it's pretty been a war of attrition and the team with the fewest injuries won.

There are 15 roster spots and we only start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE. 18 teams total.

I'm picking 15th.

My initial thought is to grab RBs early to go with a strong QB with a safe backup. With 18 teams, not everyone is going to have a legit QB starter as a second QB. I'd rather reach early for one instead of relying on a backup or a rookie that may or may not play.

I'd then hammer WRs late and hope to get at least 2 that have a good enough week.

QB - 2
RB - 5
WR - 6
TE - 2

How would you approach this?

League switched to 2QB. I did zero research as typical. Installed the ESPN app 3 minutes before draft. Had no idea when to take quarterbacks. They started going in the first round. Oh okay then. I picked 9th/10. Found a website that said if you don't pick QB's in the first rounds then wait till 5/6 so you should get stud RB/WR. Ok that sounds good. Then picked up a tight end when roster was filled out. Then googled "fantasy football sleepers". And nabbed the Rams.

Kamara (9)
Zeke (12)
Hopkins (29)
J Jefferson (32)
Stafford (49)
Lawrence (52)
DJ Moore (69) (nice)
Julio (72)
Fant (89)
M Davis (92)
Trey Lance (109)
AJ Dillon (112)
Rams (129)
Jonnu Smith (132)
Gabriel Davis (149)
Gus Edwards (152)
Zuerlein (169)
T Pollard (172)

Finished my 10 Team 2QB PP league. I pretty much punted RBs and tried my best to put together a serviceable crew there.
Start 2QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2W/R/T flex, K, D

QB:
  • Mahomes
  • Prescott
  • Carr
RB
  • Mike Davis
  • Damien Harris
  • Jamaal Williams
  • Nyheim Hines
  • Gio Bernard
WR
  • Tyreek Hill
  • CeeDee Lamb
  • Keenan Allen
  • DJ Moore
  • Tyler Boyd
  • Antonio Brown
  • Corey Davis
  • Curtis Samuel
TE
  • Noah Fant
  • Evan Engram
Ravens D
Rodrigo Blankenship

Looks like I'll be starting 4WR this year most every week. Or trading one who breaks out for a RB.

Asking our resident fantasy experts as a relatively new player (this will be my third year playing):

Does anyone play in any non PPR leagues? I managed to join a money league, redraft, as they had an empty spot and actually wound up with the first overall pick. That pick is obvious, but not sure what to do after that. 12 person snake draft, so next two picks will be 24 and 25.

1 QB / 2 max
2 RB / 4 max
2 WR / 4 max
1 TE / 2 max
1 FLEX
1 D/ST / 2 max
1 K / 2 max

6 bench spots
2 IR spots
