Yeah, so the creator of this league has it so the number of keepers starts at 3 then works up to 6 then back down to 3 adding or taking away 1 player each year.Gibson if it’s 5 years
Yeah, so the creator of this league has it so the number of keepers starts at 3 then works up to 6 then back down to 3 adding or taking away 1 player each year.
My current choices for keepers (2QB, PPR) are:
Mahomes
Prescott
Gibson
Swift
Michael Thomas
I could keep three of these guys for as long as I want. I'm aiming at holding on to Dak and Mahomes until their arms fall off.
This is a 10 teamer and this draft is the 4 keepers level moving up towards 6. I'm picking 4th this year.So next year you'll be able to keep four guys instead of three?
And given the five year thing, I think I'd be more inclined to go for Gibson or Swift than Kelce. Hell, even Michael Thomas wouldn't be a bad keeper in full PPR. I expect him to rebound big this year. Gibson/Swift could be an RB1 for the next four years, and Thomas is 28 and has the type of game that should age well. Kelce, amazing as he is, could fall of a cliff next year. The end comes quick for lots of guys, and he'll be 32 in five months.
Of course, Kelce could be the Tony Gonzalez outlier and play at a high level until he's 37, but I don't like to bet big on outliers in fantasy football.
Also, what's the QB situation in this league? I'd almost be inclined to just keep Mahomes and then shuffle two other QBs through my roster if there are decent guys available in the draft every year. Of course, if every team is keeping two QBs, this point can be disregarded.
Anyone wanna bet on Gibson not being a starting RB in the NFL in five years?
I did a best ball league on sleeper but not much else.Any of you guys do Underdog best ball leagues? I try to get in a couple a week. I won about $500 from them last season and now they're doing tournaments too with some pretty decent prizes.
I just finished drafting from their new "Puppy" tournament. Five dollar buy in. Fifty grand to first place. You do drafts in 12 team leagues with a thirty second timer on picks.
My team:
QB - Mahomes, Hurts, Zach Wilson
RB - Harris, Montgomery, Conner, Mattison, Cohen
WR - Diontae, Jeudy, Mike Williams, Marvin Jones, Hilton, Edwards, John Brown, Cole
TE - Kelce, Thomas
Obviously went with the Kelce/Mahomes stack to start, as stacks are pretty important in tournaments. I was hoping to get CEH with my early third rounder, but he went two or three picks before me and so I settled for Harris. When I got Diontae later, I planned to grab Big Ben later in the draft for obvious reasons, but some asshole took him three rounds before his ADP.
I reached a bit for Logan Thomas, but that was in the name of ensuring I only had to draft two TEs instead of three. I wasn't planning on getting two Raiders, but John Brown fell twenty picks past his ADP and I figure one of those two guys will probably emerge in Vegas as a useful best ball player.
I think my receivers are pretty solid for a best ball format. Lots of boom/bust guys in what will either be good offenses or, like the Raiders, playing from behind a lot. I grabbed Keelan Cole in the last round just to stack with Wilson because it's the 18th round and who gives a fuck.
These best ball drafts are fun. No waivers. No trades. Basically means you have to take shots.

I’m trying to move off darnold if he even looks decent this year, so I’d be leaning towards cutting him and keeping sanders
So you're asking if we'd rather keep Gibson or Kelce? Personally I'd say Kelce, but I'm admittedly lower on Gibson than consensusWhich 4 keepers would you rather have? 10 Team, 2QB, PPR. I can keep 3 of these forever and the 4th four more times.
Option 1
Mahomes
Dak
Gibson
Swift

Option 2
