Sadly it was the Bash Brothers, with me favoring Canseco. Hindsight not being factored in, of course.

Yep, Lou Whitaker.

And the SS who played for the Royals who always had a toothpick in his mouth was intriguing.

Old Manager of mine mentor hero and then mentor. He was a minor league player in the Angels system in the 90's when Rod was coaching for them. Says he got pretty close with him. He never made the majors, dont think he made it out of AA. He pretty much idolized Carew, but not a bad guy to pattern yourself after or idolize, lol

Ryne Sandberg, George Brett, Andre Dawson

Hargrove, Hooooolliiiiiioooo, and Joe Carter

Fernando Valenzeula.

The Bartolo Colon of his day.

He was actually known as “The Bartolo Colon of his day” even back then which may shock some younger folks.

He was also a decent hitter for a pitcher - I remember him pinch hitting at least once..

Just watched some Don Mattingly highlights earlier and I forgot how sweet that swing was. Granted I only got to really watch him when I was a kid and didn’t really get a chance to see him in his MVP form...

Those mid 80’s numbers suggests he’s a Hall of Famer

Joe Carter, Franco and Corey Snyder for the Indians.

Rickey Henderson, Gwynn, Jose Canseco for the league and many others

No doubter for me for the Indians:

Joe Carter (1984-89)

Hit 151 homers in 839 games with Indians. Best season in Cleveland was 1986, when he led AL with 121 RBI and had 29 homers and steals, 108 runs and .302 average. In last four years in Cleveland, averaged 31 homers, 106 RBI and 25 steals.

Loved me some Pat Tabler too, as he was clutch as hell. Julio honorable mention.

Loved Will Clark's smoothass lefty cut.
