Favorite 80’s baseball player ?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thinking of UL Washington reminds me of his predecessor, Freddie Patek. He'd have been known as "Fred" if he'd been taller than 5'4", but that was not the case.

Remember that great day he had with the Angels, stroking 3 dingers?

Not at all, lol...I had to look him up, finished his career when i was 9, career 41 home runs with 633 OPS. Played in 1650 games, but the guy was as forgettable as you get and i was way too young when he played.

I always liked John Lowenstein although his 80s tenure was with the orioles after being traded by the Tribe.

Not a favorite player of mine, but does anyone remember a pitcher named Charlie Kerfeld? Played for the Astro's in the late 80's. But played his final year in 1990 as an Atlanta Brave. Over the course of his short tenure, the Braves Broadcast team of Skip Caray and Pete Van Wieren(?) started referring to him as "Large Charles". This lasted a handful of games before they announced they would no longer being calling him that because they had received complaints from his mother.... Good times...

You don't remember anything about him stroking 3 dingers?

He had a serious fetish for the color Orange. I think it even extended to a love of Orange Jell-O.

Good callout on Carter and Tabler. Brook Jacoby as well....

One of my more obscure favorites from the 80's
