My dude spanned a few decades but played every year of the 80’s and took home 2 MVP’s that decade...

Robin Yount... Love those 80’s Brewers and those uniforms...

I proudly sport a bright yellow 1980s Brewers t-shirt with the blue "b and M" that make up the logo on their hat. My old roommates from pre-marriage were originally Wisconsinites.

I was a Julio fan, even after he left the Tribe the first time. His return in the late 90s golden years as a middle of the order DH/1st baseman was satisfying revenge for 1980s Tribe fans. Julio in his late 40s still jacking homers as a pinch hitter was awesome.

Not Dwight Gooden???
Piggybacking on what Keys was saying above — I have a 1985 Nike Doctor K shirt (that sell on eBay for like 200-250 dollars now) that I proudly love...

But still not as cool as that Brewers blue and yellow and logo...

Yount was a beast as well tho...

The baseball glove I still use today is a Rawlings glove with Robin Yount’s signature on the palm.

Corey Snyder and Brook Jacoby were my favorite Indians back then.

Non-Indians were Roger Clemens and Don Mattingly

The 80's were dominated and defined by Rickey Henderson. Easily my favorite.

I still twidle my fingers before I jaywalk, running across the street to beat traffic. I've been doing that since I was a kid, imagining I was Rickey about to steal a base.

You mean you don’t sniff and twitch every 11 seconds like a coked out bash brother ?

And I’m not talking about Terry Steinbach

I grew up near Baltimore, so it's easy for me... Cal, Jr. (MVP, '83)

I'm just going to start rattling off some of my favorite things about 1980s baseball.

*Carl Yastrzemski and Nolan Ryan were still playing, and they were old enough to hate hippies.

*The White Sox rolled out ugly uniform after ugly uniform.

*Players smoking cigarettes in the dugout.

*Pittsburgh stovepipe hats.

*Houston rocking the rainbow tummies.

*The day before the All Star game, there was an Old Timers Game. This actually made it on television!

5 tool player - Eric Davis
Player who now coaches - Terry Francona
Player who broke a bat over his own back - Glenn Braggs
