Favorite player on the Indians, that actually sucked?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
was Nagy over or underrated?
If you thought he was an ace, you overrated him.

If you thought he was a solid, reliable pitcher, you're probably right on the mark.

If you look at his stats, without considering the era he played in, you're going to underrate him.

The one thing that stands out about Nagy was his durability.

Outside of '93, you could pencil him in to make every start 1991-1999.

He ranked 14th among pitchers in fWAR during the '90s.

Madison Bumgarner ranked 14th among pitchers in fWAR during the 2010s with a similar amount of innings pitched.

My favorite player at the peak of me playing baseball was Jody Gerut. I played with an autographed glove signed by him.

Jack Hannahan was an interesting player for the team since he ended up taking over 3B for a season. I remember in one of the bench clears, he was like the first guy out to protect his team mate lol

Nagy to me was a 3rd/4th starter. He become just a really dependable starter for all the years he pitched really. Though his 92 season he actually was an ace, outside of that just a dependable starter.

After checking his stats I'm revising my prior stats that he was overrated late. Except by me, apparently.

I had a weird fondness for Eric Plunk. He was sometimes mocked as "KerPlunk", but actually had a stretch of pretty good years with us. For some reason, it was trendy to mock his failures but forget his successes.

There have been a handful of players that came thru the Tribe minors I had a fondness for that either made a mark with another team or never got a shot in the majors.
Vidal Nuno & Neil Wagner got the chance & had some success elsewhere.
Rob Bryson & Dylan Baker could not stay healthy & when they stayed healthy, the Tribe had other health options to use in its bullpen.

Burba before Burba was Burba. But gets extra marks because he was the 1st quality pitcher I remember from the teams that played the last couple of years in the Muni.

Also, he legged out an infield single during the MLB all star game one year, if I recall correctly.

I could not stand Eric Plunk. Because he either did the job or gave up a BOMB that ruined the entire game. Also, he looked like a creeper with those glasses.
