First, and possibly most importantaly, Gilbert admitted he is possibly the shortest person acquainted with basketball in the world.
Second, I was a little worried when Gilbert brought up how in his old business there were unexperienced people who had success...not doubting Ferry or Brown but many business matters in outside of the basketball world doesn't translate into success in the basketball world.
Third, this reminds me alot of what Savage and company are doing with the Browns. Character, guys who have a passion for playing, etc.
Fourth, bringing back Z. Ferry put all the cards onto Z's lap. It's up to Z if he wants to stay for a deserving price.
Fifth, they focused a lot on LeBron. With new management you have to assure LeBron that he is what you're building around and that you are committed to giving him players to compliment his game as well as everyone elses.
Nothing really on the draft that would cause any stir.
Glad no Larry Brown
And the importance of Defense to these two guys ( Brown and Ferry ) I'm probably reading a little too far into it but Redd isn't nearly as polished a defensive player as Johnson/Allen.
Also glad to hear that Ferry hasn't just been ignoring the offseason...He has been scouting the same players with SA that will be in the draft when he is with Cleveland...I wouldn't doubt that he makes a move on draft day.
Looks ok...but sure looked like he was nervous
