I think that Ferry is going to be aggressive this summer. He has clearly decided that he wants to get a scorer next to LeBron, and it obviously doesn't matter how much it costs us (player's salary).

I think the VC proposal was a "feeling-out" process, and that Ferry may go back to that deal later, if nothing else works out. However, I think there are a few people that the Cavs will target:

  • Baron Davis
    • I think Baron is a guy that Ferry is really going to go after. However, I'm not so sure that we'll be able to put-together a deal for him w/o a 3rd team.
  • Tracy McGrady
    • I think that Ferry would love to get his hands on Tracy, but from what's been said in the Houston papers, it doesn't appear that Tracy is going anywhere.
  • Corey Maggette
    • Corey has never actually been a star, but he has always been a very good starter, and is always on the verge of being a star. With Eric Gordon, and a clear vision of the future, it appears that the Clippers are back in re-build mode, and that might mean that Corey could end-up playing for the Cavs.
  • Elton Brand
    • (See above, but add Elton's name)
  • David West
    • I don't know why, but I keep coming back to David everytime I am looking at who the Cavs may target.
  • Leandro Barbosa
  • Raja Bell
    • I think that Leandro or Raja are a distinct possibility... Perhaps BOTH of them in the same deal.
  • Travis Outlaw
  • Joel Przybilla
    • As much as Portland loves Outlaw, they are just too crowded, and I think that they will try and trade Travis and Raja together.

I'm sure the Hornets are burning the phone lines to unload the albatross that is David West. I mean he and CP3 have no chemistry together..seriously where do you get some of this?

Why do you constantly post about T-Mac? Everywhere you go no matter what the situation, time of year, etc...you are always trying to deal for McGrady. THE ROCKETS ARE NOT TRADING HIM and we are not trading for him. Let it go...

What do we have to offer the Suns for Barbosa? They took a Varejaoesque player in Lopez at #15. All we have are expiring deals to offer them, which they might like, but I doubt they like enough to lose another big scorer for them. Kerr is destroying the team, but I don't think he gift wraps us Barbosa.

The Blazers are trading Travis and Raja together? What?

Hornets are young, finished 2nd in the Western Conference... HOWEVAAAAA, they sold their pick, ya know... I'm thinking they're looking to break it down and rebuild...

This has legs.... Long ones...

You know what you're on to something. Quite frankly I want Chris Paul in the deal too. We'll send em Damon Jones, Eric Snow and future cash considerations..this is the best trade ever I do declare.

My trade proposal. I figure if Ferry's going to pounce, he might as well make this happen.

Cavs trade:

Wally Szczerbiak
Anderson Varejao
Damon Jones
2009 1st round pick

Warriors trade:

Baron Davis
Brendan Wright

They came out saying they don't want to trade Brandan Wright. And also to add to that, I don't want him. He wouldn't fit here, we wouldn't be able to develop two big men at the same time. Al Harrington has subtly expressed his desire to be elsewhere. Fegan wants him out, and Varejao wants in...I think that deal will get done. I'd like for Baron to be in the deal though..the coming days will be interesting, their Trade Exception expires Monday.

They need to free up room for Monta and Biedrins.

Well in that case.

Cavs trade:

Wally Szczerbiak
Anderson Varejao
Damon Jones
Sasha Pavlovic
2009 1st round pick

Warriors trade:

Baron Davis
Al Harrington

We could either then start Baron Davis at the point with Boobie Gibson at shooting guard, or maybe keep Delonte West starting at the point and Baron Davis at the 2, with Boobie off the bench.

We'd then have to look to sign some bench help at shooting guard to help fill out the roster, but I'd do just about anything to get Baron Davis and Lebron running the court together.

That settles it then, we won't be getting him. :shakehead

Hooray, more god damn T-Mac bullshit from Heath.

I mean, I see this thread, I know it's clearly not attached to a link or an article. Of course it's more of your inane ramblings that you used to try to pass off as inside info.

Let me save you some trouble Heath.

I heard from a realtor that T-Mac was shopping for a house near Cleveland.

Cavs trade:
Damon Jones,
Wally
Eric Snow

For
Jesus christ,
Jesus Shuttlesworth
T-Mac

J-Cizzle ...Regardless if you believe in Jesus Christ or not, his game is unstoppable, (he walked on water, I think his J needs some work though). I think he seems himself as a guy who can play the 1-5 positions, at the same time...he also has this book, it's like a thousand pages, needless to say he comes across as cocky from time to time. All in all, I think having two chosen ones on the same team might cause some chemistry issues...I don't know though, maybe this deal would work.

Shuttlesworth - I've seen his highlights that go way back (98') he reminds me a little bit of a ray allan, but with a jumpshot, unlike that guy we saw in the celtics series. He is quick, and has nice defensive principles. if we got him we would probably be tops in the east, I don't know about the west though.

T-Mac - he is terrible, I would tell him to go see a chiropractor before coming to practice...he's never been out of the first round...doesn't seem like a good fit.

All in all, this trade would work, except that it's uh, wait, what's that word...IMPOSSIBLE! Look, a lot of us would like to have 11 new players on this team, some just 1/2...I agree that we are headed in a good direction, but I don't think we need to shoot for the moon, or in this case jesus...

Hmm.. Kinda sounds like CDR...

According to Espn.com, Fox Sports.com, TMZ.com, The Food Network.Com and Dan Rather: formerly of CBS NEWS--it is being reported that Charles Barkley, Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson, Michael Wilbon and Jon Barry are holding firm in their stance, and are still declaring that even with Jesus Christ on the court-- KOBE BEAN BRYANT remains the best player on the planet...

The Hornets better throw in next years first or no deal, thats waaaay to much to give up for Chris Paul.

I like the subtle variations in Heath's usernames....on multiple boards he has different names but always slides the "heath" in there somewhere..

Elton Brand has never been a star. I do not agree with that.

Heath, what on gods green earth makes you think the Hornets will part with David West. Big guys that can go for 40 on any given night don't exactly grow on trees in the NBA.
