As long as Dante Exum is in the rotation we will still suck. Delly can't shoot anymore and still contributes way more to winning than Exum.

Outside of the one high scoring game, Exum has looked completely lost or invisible. I don't know how Utah tried to develop him but how he plays isn't anywhere close to where it should be as a player who has the number of games and years in the NBA under his belt.

I still don't mind him getting minutes to see if Beilein can develop and focus in his game. I also think they need to reevaluate what position and style best suits him. His handles aren't that good and he doesn't have the offense game to break down defenses. Maybe he should be developed more into an off ball 3 and D SG/SF. His passing can just be an added plus like Nance, where he can help keep the ball moving to the right spots.

Yeah his handle is so poor for a 5 year vet. I'm still a little shocked. His passing is no better than Sextons.

I also wonder if he would stay more healthy if he is playing off the ball and can play more upright. He is constantly hunched over or making himself smaller to try to compensate for his handles when he is on the ball. Truly the Cavs only need him to be a good on ball defenders and to figure out a few ways he can consistently score.

I think he has been miscast and the idea of him being a mismatch on offense as a PG just needs to be let go. Let him figure out if he can score against SGs or SFs and build him to be a versatile defender.

13 of the last 18 on the road. That is brutal. I figure 8 or 9 wins, wind up with 21-22.

11-13. Drummond effect leads to some extra wins!

I'm on the optimism train, too. Drummond brings a lot of exactly what this team desparately needs. It's not like we added another Nance, Sexton, or Osman. Drummond turns some huge weaknesses into strengths, or at least no longer weaknesses.

Also, the Cavs appear to be fully healthy now that Porter and Nance are back.

Nance is playing the best ball of his career, averaging 14.8 pts and 9 rebounds over his last nine games. He's shooting 62.6% from the field over that stretch. Cedi is shooting 48% and 42% over his last 26 games. Sexton is really coming on, averaging 22.7 ppg in January and 25 points and 4.3 assists in three February games. Love should benefit from the All-Star break and the light schedule leading up to it, resulting in only two games in 15 days.

The Cavs should be a much better team over the last 30 games. How many wins that translates to remains to be seen. The playoff teams will be jockeying for positon and home court advantage. They won't want to lose to the Cavs and I don't think they'll take them for granted now that Drummond has landed.

On second thought, that IS a very tough schedule, including a west coast trip and a lot of road games.

The key is not how many they win but how well they compete against Milwaukee, Boston, Utah, Miami (twice), Houston, and the Lakers. That will give us an idea of how far this team still needs to go and what they need to get there.

Yeah it's a little tough. I'm really more interested in how competitive they are and if they can stop anybody. So many games where they never get more than one stop in a row.

We win 9 games, but Drummond ends up doing some ridiculous power dunk over LBJ or someone that endears him to Cavs fans everywhere.

8-10 wins, we’ve won 3 of our past 20 I don’t think Drummond improves us that dramatically that we start winning every second game

The losses should be a lot more watchable though

Under 10 wins. Hopefully a lineup adjustment so we don't have to start Sexton and Garland. Still somehow end up outside of the top 3 picks even with the worst record in the league.
