When was the last time there was such a #1 QB controversy? Is this all the media trying to hype up the draft? I believe Darnold and Rosen are clearly ahead of Mayfield and Allen but the media will have you believe Allen and Mayfield are more in play at 1 than Rosen is.

It's going to be another Couch/Culpepper/McNabb type of draft. I just hope we don't screw it up. Lord knows we deserve some success at this point. For the failure to continue on and reach the 20 year mark would be truly incredible simply from a probability perspective.

Hey, nobody is perfect.

NFL QB is the hardest position in sports to master.

That professionals also botched the shit out of their predictions goes to show how much of a crap shoot it is.

I for one am glad that Baker is clearly better than Darnold, Rosen and Rudolph. That he is showing that he is a solid NFL starting QB and improving rapidly.

And I think most people are surprised that Allen has put it together so quickly. He was easily the rawest of the group.

He has worked his ass off, mentally and physically (has it ever!), and it has paid off. Coaching continuity and mentorship have paid dividends as well. Josh Allen getting good did not happen in a vacuum.

Josh Allen was dead last in completion percentage 2 consecutive seasons and a LOT of that was aggressively bad accuracy

He had Weeden-esque turnovers

His leap this year is likely one of the largest of any QB in the history of the nfl. He’s the anomaly of anomalies. He’s the 1 of 100 raw QBs with all the tools that actually pieced it together

No one ever talks about the 99 with all the tools that people nailed as projects

No wonder that Rudolph hates the Browns so much. He must have gotten word of this poll!!

I honestly don't think Allen is going to be as bad as everybody in here thinks he is. I was high on him at #1 or #4 for a bit, but I've kind of fallen back on that. Don't think he's going to bust though, either, as long as he gets into a non-garbage situation.

I like Lamar Jackson a lot too. I kind of wish we had another slightly later pick in the first just so we could snag him and sit him behind Tyrod. They play similar styles and Taylor could help him adjust. I think Jackson has the highest ceiling of the bunch, crazy as it sounds.

Anyways, here's my list:
1a) Barrett
1b) Darnold
2) Mayfield
3) Jackson
4) Allen
5) Rosen
6) Rudolph

This is a pretty damn good long term projection list once you yank Darnold if you’re a Browns homer.

Certainly the closest to accurate thus far.

It’s probably more like:

Allen
Mayfield/Jackson
Darn
Rudolph
Rosen

I think with more playing time Rudolph would actually be decent.

Didn’t we beat up on a dude that absolutely loved Josh Allen? Think he may have gotten banned. Apology goes out to that guy. That’s our bad.

Fine.
