Think they're gonna let Naylor bat against Ragans in the opener?

It’s opening day and day off next day, not Bieber starting. Not like Hedges would do better. Yes, Hedges starts more vs lefties when planning off days as he does significantly better vs LHP. But, .217/.527 split isn’t much better than Bo’s .194/.556.

Hedges started 3 games last playoffs, only 1 was versus lefty for Skubal in game 2. But, Bo started game 5 vs Det/SkubaL and vs Rondon vs NYY.

Possible. I’d likely leave out the “other than” notion. IMO this setup leaves them with the best PH options. Plus I see Manzardo facing most lefties and I read Noel’s ST data as the equivalent of flipping off the staff.

Feels like they're gonna trot him out there for about 4 or 5 bad starts in April and then he'll either have a phantom injury, or they'll mercifully DFA him.

Key is Freeman and Schneemann still playing the utility role to Brito at 2nd.... Guess Freeman could be trying CF gig to push Thomas to RF but Schneemann also got the last non-Thomas CF start.
