Fire Mike Longabardi !!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Harden has been on a tear this month. Our Cavs just don't have nearly enough talent on the floor to keep up with these top teams.

This excuse would work but our defense has also been bad when we have had good teams as long as he has been here to the point point where we always ended up abandoning his defense for a simplified version in the playoffs.

Every team tends to score a lot against us. There is no excuse to keep him on the staff especially since we fired his buddy Lue.

I'm not defending him, I'm giving context because scapegoating is too easy. The problems go far far past Longabarfli at this point. I'm not of the belief the front office even wants to win games right now. The most impactful players are in street clothes.

The problems are far beyond maybe, but that doesn't dispute the fact that he himself is also a problem even if he isn't the biggest one.

Also, admit he is ugly.

He was Ty Lue's boy, he's gone at the end of the season regardless. I'm simply pointing out how bizarre it would be to fire an assistant mid-season while the team is openly tanking. That looks like massive disorganization.

It’s like Lue was that one night stand you regret and Longabardi is the STD she left you with.

I don't like his name. Makes me think of Duck Dynasty.

Fire him.

His name makes me think of an 80’s common card baseball player that you’d immediately stick in your bike spokes to make the motorcycle noise.

Been asking for this for two years

My guess is that he works hard behind the scenes, and being the "defensive specialist" enables Drew to more or less ignore the defense. Drew was a shitty defender when he played, and probably doesn't like coaching that end of the floor. Or at least, likes coaching the offense more.

In other words, Drew keeps Longabardi around because he's doing the dirty work, even though he does it badly.

Don't tug your boat too hard, but Washington Wizards beat writer Candace Buckner reports Longabardi is expected to join Scott Brooks:
