Formula 1

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not sure of much after that finish except that Lewis is a true gentleman

Can you describe what happened for us fans that are curious but not really paying attention.
Hamilton had an 11 second lead on hard tires that were old when a crash brought out the safety car (yellow flag). Verstappen pitted for fresh soft tires, but Hamilton couldn't without losing track position. They restarted with a lap to go and a late decision to clear out lapped traffic so Hamilton had no chance. It appears this was done against the rules so they would finish with a raced lap. Really taints the season either way. This will be a story talked about in sports for days even for non fans because it was close and now is a shitshow.

I'm surprised, Ferrari seems legit.

Also, how about Haas and Magnussen? Mick Schumacher is going to have an uphill battle on his hands this year.

Schumacher did finish 11th, which is promising considering last year they were an anchor in the back.

McLaren is a total mess at the moment and Aston Martin is almost irrelevant at this point. I do think Ferrari looks legit, they killed pre season testing and it has carried over. Plus their drivers are probably 2 of the most talented on the grid. Merc will get it figured out, but Ferrari might give them a run and Red Bull will continue to be near the top.

Yeah that was a nice recovery drive after the contact from Ocon early on. I'm just very curious to see how Mick compares to a known, quick commodity in KMag. Beating Mazepin was one thing, but if he goes toe to toe with Magnussen that will raise his profile in the paddock. He seems like a good kid with a good head on his shoulders, so I hope he does well.

Red Bull's issues will definitely be something to keep an eye on as the season progresses. 3/4 of the RB/Honda powered cars ran into issues.

Wow, Lewis out of Q1. what is wrong with Mercedes PU this year.

The pre-season talk was about how Red Bull poured everything into 2021, but it seems Merc did the same. I have faith Merc will find their stride at some point, they always get stronger through the season. Just not sure either can catch Ferrari.
