Has Kitchens publicly talked about his tenure with the Browns yet? Well, in any sort of depth? About the functioning or dysfunctioning of the organization? I'd like to hear his candid take on things. I am curious to hear what his take is on what happened. Hard to believe Dorsey would make such a big gamble on the guy given the amount of unknowns.

I am sure that he has an effective gag order if he wants to continue to collect the salary owed him

Not sure that's how it works when the dox is signed.

But, he's going to be double dipping anyway, as is a former Cleveland Browns' HC tradition.

He doesn't get to double dip, his salary from NY will be deducted from what Jimmy and Dee owe him. He could sit on his can and make the same dough, but a coach got to coach.

I've already pretty much forgotten about Freddie Kitchens, except for the phrase "Whooptey-Hell" WTF does that mean, and where did he come up with that from? Did he just create it inside his own brain, or is it common where he's from?

It just slightly bugs me for some reason. I mean, whooptey-hell?

People from the Eastern Shore area of Maryland/Delaware say "golly-day". It's their version of "wow".

"Golly-day". Makes you want to shoot yourself right in the head every time you hear it.

If Freddie Kitchens has ever a discouraging word to say about my team, I will be monumentally disappointed.

That is just awful.

I’ve never heard of a coach or player having this in their contract. Can’t see how an agent or union would ever agree to that. I think Freddie is just a classy guy. He’s ready to move on. I doubt he’ll go on a bash tour like hue.

Non-disparagement clauses are pretty common.

I was hoping to get some more behind the scenes stories regarding his ineptitude by now for morbid curiosity sake but it's been pretty hush hush on that front as well.

We play the Giants this year. I'm sure we'll hear all about it the week up until we play the Giants.

Yeah, but that wouldn't stop him from leaking things to the media anonymously, and we've gotten exactly none of that outside of a few tidbits that were obviously leaked by Monken's camp.

On the flip side, the Browns haven't really leaked anything either despite the fact that what few things we have heard made it sound like Kitchens' tenure here was a complete disaster. Haven't heard much about Dorsey either.

Seems like all parties involved seem to think it's best if everyone just keeps their mouth shut and moves on, which is pretty refreshing after Hue Jackson's media tour following his well-deserved canning. I'm willing to bet the main reason Hue is currently not employed by the NFL is largely because he didn't keep his mouth shut, and he was extremely public about it. Obviously he's also inept, but there are plenty of inept guys who hang around in the NFL where nepotism is king.
