We literally did just this with drummond. Both player and team decided the player didn't fit in the teams longterm plans, so they sat out the player to minimize injury risk and negotiate something down the road.

Difference is everyone loves Hou and loves to rag on the Cavs. And no one interviewed Draymond about it

What is the point of contracts?

They need to reassert themselves during the next CBA session.

It is absurd to being pay so much, with guaranteed contracts, and seeing guys repeatedly not only demand trades, but hamstring their own teams with specific team demands.

Someone either has to come down hard on a player or start getting super cheap with contract, or putting a real performance and good faith clause in contracts.

Pretty sure he officially retired. He's been doing his podcast and the espn circuit for awhile. Also pretty sure he's implanted in New York to be near his family. I remember him having a bad deal with Griffin cause he was supposed to help him get to the Nets or Knicks, but traded him to Dallas, instead.
