Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If they strike out on bigger name options, wouldn't mind them taking a chance on Didi Louzada to add some wing depth that can space the floor in case Windler never gets healthy.
His option was declined by New Orleans and they do want him back but I think the Cavs could get him.
If you have never heard of him he has nice offensive skill set. Wouldn't cost much.

Lou Williams might be the one recently active player too old for the Laker's roster. Him and maybe Kareem
They could always sign Magic for the minimum. Or they could strike a blow for social justice and sign Jeannie Buss as a two-way player. Have her stand outside the three point line - she'd be no less of a threat to shoot from there than Ben Simmons. She'd also defend no worse than Erie Digregorio.

If you are going to start signing females, why not someone like Breana Stewart or A'ja Wilson?

GIT ER DONE!!!!!

Seriously, if they can sign him for the full MLE somehow, he's the best value of this offseason

So we have to teach this team to play the right way, no doubt. But Danny Green is 34 and wont be part of our future when we are good. Not sure I would want him on a 2 or 3 year MLE contract. He is more of a lengthy SG than SF too, we have SG's we need SF's.

He doubled our best player's WAR last season in the RAPTOR database. If you want any shot at the play-in next year or to teach these young cats how to win, you need a couple of these veteran leaders on the roster.

Not to mention he fits our needs exceptionally from a position and skill standpoint.

The $ wouldn't be bad either. I get that he's 34 but Hollinger's BORD$ metric has him worth $19 mil next year. Even if he slips a bit, the full MLE seems like a value.

I'm skeptical how they convince him to come here if money is equal to some contending teams, but we can hope!

All your points are valid, just not for me. I rather take some young player fliers 6'7 or longer who play SF but might come cheaper. I dont mind our roster right now. I dont know if Green is the type of vet I want, just me. I really isnt a sf, and I dont want to bench Okoro for a 34 year old.

Although if he moves Sexton to the bench, that might be good to see how Sexton does in the 6th man role. An efficient Sexton coming in for 20 PPG, Rubio as backup pg and with Okoro/Green at our starting wings? Now that could be an interesting roster.

Following up on this, here are the teams that could match or 'beat us' for Green or any other MLE player as of this morning (per Keith Smith on Twitter)

CHA- $13.5M (pending I. Smith signing)
CHI- $9.5M MLE (pending S&Ts and TPEs)
HOU- $9.5M NTMLE
MIN- $9.5M NTMLE
NOP- $13.5M in cap space or $9.5M NTMLE (pending transaction structures)
*NYK- $8.8M in cap space (if Vildoza waived) *think this was before Kemba
OKC- $28M in cap space or over if retain TPEs
SAC- $9.5M NTMLE
TOR- $9.5M NTMLE
WAS- $9.5M NTMLE

Surprisingly, if he wants more than 5.9 mil from a contender (tax MLE), we might be one of his best options

We're in year 4 of this rebuild and we've hypothesized all offseason about Koby making some more short-term focused moves to improve our roster.

If the final result of that ultimatum is keeping the entirety of our young core intact (Collin included) and picking up quality around-the-margins veterans like Rubio and Green on short-term deals, I'll be extremely impressed.

Can't believe anyone would actually prefer a Bonga-type to Danny Green on a similar contract. The end goal is to win games, fellas.

End goal is to win, current goal is to build a young core and develop young talent.

Not sure we are ready for that end game step just yet.

We arent Miami or LA or a destination city or franchise. Building will take longer. We have done very well in the draft in my opinion considering where we picked each year.

We started with an empty chest 3 years ago because we sold all out for our championship run and that was the right call.

We made a trade that got us Sexton, he is a bit of a question mark on fit, but he is a dog and can score efficiently, drafted garland, okoro and Mobley, all need time to learn, traded for Allen and extended him.

This was the year to deal with Allen and since we got lucky, get our #1 in Mobley. accomplished, not sure we need to worry about a playoff run just yet, but we are getting a better roster that is starting to come into focus.

The short-term value of having a couple of players like Rubio and Green far outweighs the long-term value of paying Bonga or some other unproven wing with that MLE $.

It's okay to have 20% of the roster above the legal drinking age. Hell, Delly and Kevin were supposed to be these guys last season except Rubio and Green are actually good...

There aren't any young high-upside wings we can sign with that $ anyways. It's not like we got an extra draft pick.
