front runners emerging for gm and coach

A Sund/Saunders front office would be great. I pick Sund over Morway because he's a proven commidity.

I just hope the Cavs get moving on something. The front office will have a lot of work to do with FA's, Z etc so they need to put in place ASAP

I'm not 100% sure, but I think any GM or front office personnel who is currently under contract are still under contract through June 30. I thought I have read that's when NBA contracts for front office personnel run until.
This could mean that a candidate like Sund couldn't get hired until July 1. There might be ways around this but having to wait until July 1 could set the Cavs back. They need to be ready to go on the 1st day of free agency and have a complete plan in place.

I'd be happy with Sund and could live with the choice of Morway.

I think Narl's right formally, but I also think there is a sort of gentleman's agreement about people "consulting" on the draft for one team while still under contract with another, provided they have a deal in place. My recollection is that Embry was the guiding light in the draft just before his formal signing.
