Hurl's Keys to the Game

* Defense is paramount against a team like Golden State that likes to run up and down the court. Transition defense will be key in stopping too many easy baskets for the Warriors.

* Z needs to establish himself in the paint and not lose his temper and get tossed. Foyle isn't the biggest force in the middle, and Z should take control. The Cavaliers need to work from inside out against the Warriors tonight.

* Eric Snow has to contribute some offensively to make Baron Davis spend some energy on the defensive end. We all know that Davis will be working Snow over on their end of the court. Point guard cannot be an empty offensive position for the Cavaliers, and with Damon Jones' defensive liabilities, the team needs to have Snow out there to check Davis.

* Lebron needs to play his game and let things come to him. He cannot fall in love with the perimeter game. James needs to take the ball to the hole and get some points in the paint and at the free throw line.

Final notes:
The Cavaliers need to bounce back from their loss to the Wizards. A good team at home, the team needs to beat teams that are sub-.500 like the Warriors. If they relax and play their game, the Cavaliers should coast to a nice, easy victory.

Prediction: Cavaliers win 101-91

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

Anyone know if Troy Murphy's playing tonight? He was out lastnight, listed as "sprained left ankle." Lastnight they started Diogu in his place. If they start this Foyle/Diogu frontcourt again we should own them, but if Murphy's playing it gives them a strong 4-man bench (Fisher/Biedrins/Dunleavy/then Diogu).

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

we shjould just flat out win this game.....for crying out loud they beat us by 20 we owe them a huge 40 point loss....115 to 75

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

No way LeBron should be guarding J-Rich and no way Drew should ever shoot outside of the paint..

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

Cavs need to capitalize on the loss of Baron Davis, but it seems that the Warriors are still putting up a good fight.

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

44-42 Warriors. LeBron already has more points than last night.

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

Z finally made a shot.

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

How many layups can one team get? Keep watching.

We need more bodies. Eight man rotation is weak, and legs appear dead.

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

LeBron is stroking from deep...launch another one..5 treys tonight

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

1 point ball game. Come on Cavs you can do it.

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

Steven Graham just threw down...keep this kid here, his brother is Joey Graham..they must share a similar game.

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

I'm nervous about playing Graham and Varejao together... The hustle is nice to see, but but our hoops IQ seems pretty low offensively with the two raw kids out there.

If you are going to play Z with 4 fouls, feed him the rock. He isn't in there to chase guards down on defense for crissakes.

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

Cavs are on the road to another loss. Ferry needs to get on the phones this team isn't capable of winning a playoff series, we are too streaky we lack the basketball IQ and the presence of mind to get it done every night. we are there some nights and lost some others...Ferry make a move..NOW

Re: 2-11 G.S vs Cleveland

No reason to make a move to hurt our future... we just don't have great depth at the swingman positions at this time, playing a team that has very athletic and talented swingmen. We were playing a CBA star big minutes and Sasha had a terrible night. With a healthy Lukey Jack or Hughes, this is a win.

Rather than a trade, we needed to look to our post players to score. Cabarapka, Murphy, and Taft were all injured. If Foyle and Bidriens get into foul trouble, this is a totally different ballgame. Instead of going after thier bigs, we fell in love with the three ball for the second night in a row. I'll admit that Z wasn't having a great shooting night, but when you live by the three, you die by the three. For most of the fourth quarter, we died by the three.

If we gut through this stretch and wait for our guys to be healthy, we should continue to look like a top 3 team in the East. If we make a panic move, we could be a weaker team by the playoffs.
