Game 31 | Cleveland @ Los Angeles | December 25, 2009 | 5:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No more complaining when he has a bad game, or is just cruising. We now know what to expect of him come playoff-time, and the whole city of Los Angeles is shitting in their pants just thinking about it.

I just wish he would tell MB when he wants a day off. Let Z start in those games, give D-Block some run. Or at the very least MB should recognize when Shaq is cruising and make the appropriate adjustments in-game.

Anyone who is still up or has a DVR, the game is on ESPN right now

I'm currently watching the re-run on ESPN. Love the Shaq foul on Gasol midway through the first. Gasol looked almost shocked after getting laid on his ass.

Now midway through the third, I can see why the Lakers thought they weren't getting any calls, but neither are the Cavs. It was a very physical, playoff-like game. The officials were letting them play both ways...

Also, just a random note, but after seeing JJ not being able to secure yet another loose ball, I watched him run down the floor looking at his hands and the players' hands next to him. His hands are TINY. They were maybe slightly bigger than Mo's, and looked like children's hands compared to Gasol and Andy's.

my favourite part of the game, was that Lebron did exactly what every one has been screaming at him to do for so long: run off the ball, and take it to the post. sure Ron could hang on to him for some time down low, but eventually lebron would back him down or get the ball out to an open shooter. the off ball screens was to me what really became effective, cause while artest might be as almost as strong as Bron, he is certainly not as fast, and everytime he had to fight through a screen Lebron would have already left him in the dust, either to finish at the rim or once again set up a teammate. more of this Bron, more of this!

The screens were so effective and can get Lebron great position and we know that is all he needs. Are we saving this? Hopefully, Malone and MB realize this and can get it through to Lebron. It is deadly and it was awesome.

I've been away from the internet since Christmas Eve, but this game made one thing clear to me:

I'm not concerned with either the Lakers or Magic right now.

Our front line has stepped it up against both teams. Our wing defenders bring plenty of different strengths, frustrating star scorers like Wince and Mopey Bryant. I'm a little concerned that JJ Hickson seems to be a regular season giant who clollapses in big games, butg we have been covering well for him.

The two weaknesses I feel the Cavs truly have is strengthening the fourth bigman position, and defending quick talented point guards. Neither gimpy Jameer Nelson nor the ghost of Derrick Fisher's Past can put pressure on Mo's defense.

Rondo and the Celtics have become the biggest hurdle to the Cavs chances at a championship, IMO.

If we play lakers in finals we will have powe who is extremely tough and physical and killed lakers in finals couple yrs ago. I think he had 20 or 30 pts off bench in one game.

Who do you guys think will start once we get powe back? Powe,JJ,Andy.

Yep, and I think we have the pieces to beat them as currently built, and a shooting forward would only increase those chances.

Against the Celtics, we can beat them with lots of small-ball, lots of Z+Andy (or Shaq+stretch-4)....don't want to see much, if any, Z+Shaq or even Shaq+Andy.

But the key to beating the Celtics, containing Rondo, etc...is none other than Delonte West.

If he can continue to progress and contribute for us and be the player he was last year, we can beat Boston.

Still a good chance we can secure the #1 seed. Our schedule gets easy as the season moves along, Boston and L.A. do the opposite. Both have had cream-puff schedules so far(L.A. 19 home games...Boston has played half the number of .500+ teams than we have so far), and Boston is already starting to show some injury problems which only become more prevalent as the season goes along considering their age.

My "Top 5 Whiney Faker Bitches List" after the Cavs' massacre of the Fakers (with apologies to David Letterman):

3. Derrick Fisher – for attacking the most ferocious and menacing Cavalier - Mo Williams. Good job, Derrick! Way to show your toughness! Was the lead bully from the Los Angeles VEGAN Society unavailable? Way to cement your legend as a hard-nosed, no nonsense, no-excuses role player!
.

Notice how he knew not to do this with Delonte in there. :)

Check my post about JJ and his comparison to Kwame Brown. Don't know what thread that was though.

I still cannot believe the LA fans did that. I hate how "big media" places like that i.e. Boston, New York, and somewhat Chicago think they are entitled to winning and just are plain spoiled, not just in basketball but in all sports. I just hope that if we have our own "dynasty", we as fans don't get spoiled.

It's been about 24 hours since Kobe left and didn't shake hands...
