Game 44 | Cavaliers vs. Lakers | January 21, 2010 | 8:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Suck a dick reggie miller....Oh it wasn't Lebron, kobe just happened to fall down right there hahahahah!"If you didn't know baketball..." How did Kobe fall down? He just happened to fall down? I absolutely hate Reggie Miller as an announcer. He is the worst. I wonder how he got a job when he is so obviously annoying.....

there's a video of Shaq talking with Lebron "take it to the hole" ?

On PTI they said that the Lakers are a better team then the Cavs. We beat them in L.A and then without one of our best players we beat them at home but yet they are still better then us? I agree that player for player they have a better team but it matters more how the players play together.

They said the lakers are by far the more talented team.

They are right.

Did they mention anything about us being pussies and dumb as fuck? Sorry, couldn't catch PTI today.

No, that fool Kornheiser just said Lakers didn't care about the game as much as the Cavs because you guys won a ship last season and this game meant nothing to LA.

Boy; Kobe sure has sounded like the game meant something. I think he pretty much stated the Lakers played like Pussies last night, right? He said they need to toughen up especially when they play the Celtics on the 31st. He said if not, they can expect the Celtics to abuse them as well.

Just think; we still have arguably our toughest guy out who has yet to see the floor; Leon Powe. :)

Aaaaack...can't stand Kornheiser....dude loves the sound of his own voice too much

Talented team and good team are two different things.

So now we're saying the Lakers aren't a "good" team?

Please...you guys are 100x smarter than this. The lakers have more talent. PERIOD. Anyone who argues this is fucking retarded. Who is a better TEAM- which factors in chemistry and talent- is a whole 'nother story.

You could definitely say the Cavs are a better team. More talented? Not a million fuggin years.

Just finished watching the game. After the slow start, my Cleveland mindset was already at "we're screwed". Without our 2nd best player and J.Moon!

Anyway, random thoughts:

- Both teams played hard (except the Lakers)

- Delonte was fantastic on both ends

- I know LeHero LeChucked some end of quarter J's (as well as 3's) but overall I thought his mix of short-range down the stretch and "taking it to the fucking hole" was excellent. Also, he didn't stop looking for guys even when he was driving. Don't get me wrong, lots to work on in terms of 4th quarter shot selection and defense but a great output nonetheless.

- I'm half drunk from the crazy game but it seemed like we didn't have Diesel and Trade Bait (Z) on at the same time since The Big Cranberry got Andrew "Glass Knees" Bynum into foul trouble early. It's good to know we can still score on them with the twin towers or not. This game gives us an extra edge in terms of figuring out how to score on them.

- My #1 thought throughout most of the game: "Goddamn the Lakers are hard to defend." If you just pause your screen and see that JJ freaking Hickson is on Pau Gasol, it's a huge disparity between talent. But it also shows that hustle, execution, and heart matters most.

- We did not overpay Andy. This mofo does this whether it's a nationally-televised game or against the Wolves on League Pass. Dude keeps on hustlin'. Also, nice freethrows homie!

- Gotta give some credit to JJ/StoneHands for being mentally strong. This will serve you well in Washington...

- I uhhhhhhh....gotta give some credit to Mike Brown for taking out Z and putting Andy in the free throw situations at the end of the game. I know it may seem like minor or routine, but MB is starting to figure out where to put players at the right times. Also, having 2 plays drawn up when they Lakers had a foul to give (when Bron went to inbond the first) was nice to see. Again, fairly routine when you're an elite coach but quite impressive for our potato head anyway. So as much as you're a yes-man push-over, you earned 1/349th of your Coach of the Year trophy from last year. Don't screw it up, now.

This was the biggest game of the season for me (after the Christmas Day Massacre), seeing how we can handle true adversity. I know we got a score to settle with the Celtics and Magic, but this win gives us 23 liters of swag juice.

Well said. I think a lot of people are eating crow on that Varejao contract. He is worth every fucking penny. Seems like he's finally getting recognition around the NBA too, and from fans..not just as a player "I hate because of his flops!" but as a legitimate weapon on the defensive end.

The beautiful thing about the flops is that Andy's flops are WAY down this year. There was a great article written by Windy about how Andy's focusing on staying vertical and moving his feet properly this year - it's made him into an even more effective defender.

Hopefully, he'll shake that reputation earned these past few seasons ..

I was actually shocked when I found out there was no Twin Towers. I bet the Lakers were too. I bet they spent some valuable practice time planning how to deal with it, and we never needed it. ha
