Game #47 | Cavaliers vs. Pacers | Jan. 26th, 2018 @ 7:30 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Everything isn't gonna be fixed in one night, but the Cavs played a hell of a game for most of the night. Without LeBron turning it over 11 times, we would have cruised to a high double digits victory. It still didn't ever get any closer than 5 with under 2 minutes left.

There was a boatload of positive to take from this game. Yeah, there was some ugly play as well and IT and Bron need to protect the ball better. But even IT hit two really important jumpers to stall 2 late Pacer runs despite struggling in multiple other facets of the game. Everyone on the court did SOMETHING positive. We got encouraging play out of Tristan,. The starting lineup looked 1000000x better with the change. Rose looked great.

I mean...given what we just went through I can't believe the shit attitudes coming from some of you in here. You don't build Rome in a day and you don't completely fix the disaster we were over the last 14 games in a day.

But we did get a quality win over a legitimate playoff team that was shooting the ball pretty well mostly all night.

JR and TT looked like their old selves. The defense was just bad instead of "ze goggles, zey do nothing!" bad.

They need to figure out a way to get Love going in this lineup, but tonight was mostly good.

I'm not saying fatigue wasn't a single factor...but far from being the ONLY factor like you're insinuating. Lance was a factor. The big lead was a factor. A lot of it was mental for different reasons.
Dude you clearly said "Lance got in his head" and left it at that. Thats what you insinuated. You said fatigue wasn't a factor earlier. I'm sorry, but thats just terrible posting.

Again Lue made a bad situation worse.

If all it takes is 9-16 from three for JR and Derrick Rose for this team to squeak out a home win against Indiana, we're in good shape.

I mean, the game got to 5 for like 1 possession with under 2 minutes left. It was 7-10 most of the last 5 minutes and double digits most of the second half.

It obviously coulda been better but it was also a little better than just "squeaking it out" IMO.

Yeah, I think everyone knows how I typically am about these games. While I was getting frustrated, I never really felt like it was out of their control.

Such a horrible decision to start LeBron in the 4th. Played almost the entire 2nd half and its coincidence we've got crappy LeBron.

The more turnovers he makes, the more Lue plays him.

His decision of playing him 40 min and the entire 4th was horrendous.. as he insists on it.

This is very typical gassed LeBron. Happened hundreds of times before. In the end of the game, he gets sloppy, rests for 20s while pounding the ball, stops the offense, stops playing defense, makes poor decisions, etc. He needs to gather his air back before he drives. LeBron exerts a lot of energy to score. You could tell a mile away he would severely underperform the last minutes.

To me it's 100% exhaustion. It ends up taking a toll mentally, too.

The decision to start TT was apparently amazing, and even JR. But Lue's rotations continue to be horrid. Bench should have played a lot more minutes. Also playing 36 min for JR is a bit too much. He tends to overplay JR a lot also.

Lue questions and challenges LeBron more than any coach he’s ever had.

Question the rotations all you want but the LeBron thing is not on Lue. And there’s no coach that will change LeBron.
LeBron is LeBron and he is going to do what he wants and what in his mind he thinks is best and historically, what LeBron thinks is best is him “running” the offense late in games or whenever things get mucked up.

Also, I was excited to see Rose have a momentary hot streak and hit some jumpers but that is not something you want to count on or keep going back to the well on.

So why does he plays LeBron the whole 3rd quarter and then starts him in the 4th? Basically the whole second half.

Is he that retarded? No other coach in the league would do that. Either that or he has no balls to yank LeBron when he needs to.

I absolutely hated LeBron, ITs, and Loves body language. They had moments but it was hard to watch.

Happy to see TT, JR, Frye & Rose all have great games. Loved the build of the 2 units. Still think moves need to be made. Just not sure what that is.

Anyone know what happened w Wade? Hope his family is ok.

Saw J. Smith in the box score hit a bunch of threes.

Who is he?

I live in Missouri so when the Cavs play the Pacers its blacked out on League Pass since I get Fox Sports Indiana. Anyways, the Pacers announcers (who actually aren't half bad) made a point during the telecast that Green just fits in and I completely agree. Aside from James, Green has been this team's most consistent player (even out of the starters). Who would have thought that? I hope if James stays and they keep this team somewhat in tact, Green is a solid yes to locking up if the money is right.

Also, I know IT is still getting into shape and his legs aren't there yet but is that an excuse for the numerous jump stop turnovers? In every game, he seems to jump with the ball with the intention of passing and thats a no no in basketball 101.
