Sorry, missed the thread. But I know this much. We were the best team with the roster we had for the first half of the season. Seem familiar? It probably STILL wasn't perfect and could be exploited (Rashard doubling, Shaq? Really?). This move fixed that.
But making a move to get better I guess really will set us back for the time being. It shouldn't be hard to adjust, but I think Antawn was having a bad night too.
I think back to deadline deals and see massive adjustments when working with a star piece who needs to fit into the system, worse than the 2008 deal that had Wally missing shot after shot. But at the end, we'll sacrifice the bigger record (64+ wins), and have closer to the norm (60 wins), while playing the best possible basketball come April, May, and June.
In other words: we'll clearly see a different ending, both to the current and end stretch of the regular season (we lose a few more games) AND the playoffs. That's a good thing. And Antawn will get better, trust me. The Cavs will make sure of it.
