Game 56 | Bobcats vs. Cavaliers | February 19, 2010 | 7:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If that's the case; Mike Brown can fuck off.

This ain't rocket science. I'm damn sure a few of us in here could figure out who defends who. Who plays with who and when. Who plays a certain style we have to play that day and with who and when. Etc. It ain't rocket science.

Give me a few hundred thousand bucks per year ONLY, and I know damn well I could sit on that bench with the talent the Cavs have and win some damn ball games.

I'm worried the Cavs have too much talent now..... for Mike Brown to handle.

I definitely agree with the fact that Mike Brown is one of the most incompetent coaches on a contending team EVER, but I don't blame him for starting Parker. No one knows whether Delonte will be with the Cavs during the playoffs. There's no need to mess around with starting lineups in the postseason, so I'm assuming Mike Brown is just playing it safe.

These forums can turn into shit so fast if we have two consecutive days of misfortune.

Lets see what Jamison's last 48 hours looked like. Getting suited up to play for the Wizards, gets pulled, flies to Cleveland, sits in on one game, the next night, he plays...yeah, he should be pretty comfortable here by now.

Lets look at the Cavs. We played a fully healthy Denver team without our backup center and with our starting pg making his first return in over month. We went to over time in that game. Then had play the next day trying to integrate a brand new piece into the rotation against a team we had trouble with before.

Blow it all up hurry!!! I mean honestly, same exact freak out at the beginning of the year when were pluggin Shaq in.

Some of you guys are so fucking stupid it astounds me.

We are absolutely fine. I'm jsut as upset at the back-to-back losses as you guys, but come on, the sky is most definitely NOT falling.

Jamison will get acclamated with the team, and we'll be firing on all cylinders by the time the playoffs come around. Just like the beginning of the year, not having all of your pieces in the right places doesn't always mean good basketball, even if #23 is on your squad.

Sunday will be a huge statement game for us if we can go down and knock of ORL, but you know they'll be hungry too.

You are so right. Everyone freaked a shit at the beginning of the season. I remember starting a thread about Shaq becoming a special deputy for the Cleveland PD. These are some of the responses from that thread:

I don't want to hear about this crap until we have a solid product on the floor. Basketball and only basketball until the team looks elite again.

Really glad to hear Shaq is figuring out his hobbies in while our team is doing awesome.

fml.

Hmmm I think maybe learning the playbook might be a better use of your time

His focus is really starting to piss me off

Hmmmm. Seems as though Shaq has proven to be a pretty damn good player thus far. Everyone needs to chill.

Does anybody else think they could have shot the ball better than Jamison today?

I mean, c'mon, give me 12 shots and I'll probably at least make 1.

I'd probably have a heart attack after 3 or 4 times up and down the court, roll my ankle trying to stay in front somebody and knock a tooth out going for a rebound.

Haha I'm not saying I would be able to do anything else...I'd let my guy score probably 50 straight points against me...but I could get lucky and make one shot I'm sure.

I missed the game. Does everybody hate Jamison now or what? How did he do. Just couldn't make a shot or what.

He got blocked 3-4 times, airballed two shots, and just flat out looked lost out there.0-12 from the field.

He just couldn't get it in the vagi-..uh I mean basket.

Everyone's hopeful though, minus LeBrawn possibly.

I mean come on everyone. There is no need to freak out after one bad game. We all knew there would be some rough patches ahead with integrating a new teammate. Let's give it a few weeks and if they are still struggling at that time then there may be some reason to worry.

This team will be ready come playoff time...Antawn will be settled in, Z will be back (hopefully) to solidify the back up center position

We have the deepest team in the league (regardless of what any of the douches on ESPN think)...it will be fine, but there will be struggles for a few weeks so be prepared

I still like Jamison. It was his first game for us and you expect him to look great? He got unlucky getting blocked like 4 times.

You guys need to stop blaming everything on Mike Brown, seriously. The players are all to blame here. Giving up 110 points is just an embarrassment. The Cavs really need to start playing defense again or we will never win a championship.

I guess the only thing that I didn't like about MB was the fact that Mo sat out so much of the fourth.

This reminded me of last year when we lost to WAS and then ORL after a 13 game win streak. Everyone was freaking out. In the end though, I think we will be fine, we just need to focus more on defense.

Hopefully we come out strong against the Magic and stay strong the whole game, unlike our current "play 1 quarter and hope to coast to a win" approach.

I do blame MB. Knowing what players to play and when might be the most important part of coaching. Knowing matchups and who should be on that floor at any particular time in a game is important. Knowing who "has it" that night and who does not have it is important. Integrating a new star into the game where he has the best chance for success is important..... we need to get Jamison and Shaq and LeBron on the floor together ASAP. Knowing what guards match up better against the opposition guards is important. Knowing that you have to make a decision about which guards to play and which guards to sit for a game is important. Knowing that we MUST be flexible each game.... know your opposition... is important.

Understanding that Delonte West's lawyer is NOT a moron. This concern that his court stuff is going to interfer with the playoffs is absurd. There will be another continuance that will make his date in the summer. I have NO CONCERN whatsoever for this season and the playoffs. The guy is now very focused and into each game. That is very clear. PLAY the man. Play the man with MO.

So yes; Mike Brown and his in game decisions are probably the most important part of this. The head coach at any level is also responsible for the environment surrounding the players leading up to games, and what goes on and when. I question what the Cavs did from the last game on Thursday before the break until the first game after the break. The team seems extremely tired and unfocused so I wonder if Mike Brown had a handle on things over the break.

I DO believe the Cavs will be fine and dandy. I also believe they will be fired up on Sunday. I simply question if Mike Brown is going to be able to handle all the talent on the team, knowing what to do when, where, and how.

I agree somewhat. But, Mike Brown doesn't determine how hard the players play. And everyone here can agree that we lost last night because of a lack of effort.

22 min for delonte is to little. mike b will need to shorten his rotations for guys to get into any type of flow
