Game #61 | Cavaliers (36-24) vs. Sixers (32-27) | March 1st, 2018 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
& Portland, really? Who cares about their vibe. They are light years away from competing for a championship and have been for years. Unless you enjoy mediocrity.

That’s what I’m saying.. This current Cavs team with this kinda talent would be a more enjoyable product without the championship expectations (that really has no business existing right now with the exception of having LeBron)

I didn’t say I would rather have an inferior team in contrast to a championship contender. Nor would a team like last year’s be enjoyable to watch under the circumstances.

But you even said yourself it’s frustrating.. LeBron has even stole the process line and has used it in regards to this squad— doesn’t seem like many around here are enjoying this process tho because of what they expect ?

I have no championship aspirations, and yet I still find them unenjoyable.

It's all about the brand of basketball they play. They are just not fun to watch and they play way below their ceiling.

Unfortunately you are right. Also, i'm starting to think the Ky trade was really the death of us. That kid is a special talent and we got nothing in return. We pretty much gave him up for a draft pick, and why would you do that when you have prime LBJ on your team?!?!

A lot of our issues stem from not having a good isolation scorer at the point of attack. Teams couldn't switch the PnR effectively against Kyrie because he produced 1.14 PPP(In 2016-2017), 1.29(in 2014-2015) in Isolation after PnR defensive switch.

Lebron only produces 1 PPP after defensive switch and switching bigs against Lebron has become more effective through the years.

So you replaced Kyrie Irving(who has been in the 95% in that category) with George Hill(who is not an Isolation scorer and has only had 3 Isoaltion possessions so far as a Cavalier) and you get even more stagnant than we were before on the offensive end.

So we can't take full advantage of switches with our PG/defacto PG and we can't take advantage in the post because we have TT and Nance who are both undersized for their position and are not known for their post play,(Nance is more aggressive and willing, and I see more promise in that regard, but still) and this is what you get.

It's not rocket science really.. we don't run a motion offense to counter that, so this is the result.

Zizic, in my opinion can make this much better and prevent the constant switching.

So yeah, Kyrie is definitely missed on the offensive end with the way we run our offense.

It's sad that our team hasn't thought about that though.

A huge impact from Kevin Love once he returns and plenty of luck with the BKN pick are the only 2 things preventing The King from joining Philly.
Great team, outstanding potential, a dinasty in the making.
Philly, maybe his only pass to get to Jordan stardom, no dubt he's already thinking about it.
The Cavs still get a chance though.
