Detroit is a glimpse into NY's future. They cleared alot of cap space and had a couple of decent vets and one good young player left (stuckey). But when the free agency period shook out, they had to over pay for slightly better than average players. They were almost the only game in town too. Why did this happen? Several reasons. One, they had cap room the wrong offseason. But more important, superstars just dont leave via free agency. Sure this offseason we could see amare or bosh change teams, but Teams under or at the cap just are not good teams. They arent deep, dont have alot of talent, and are only above average in talent at a handfull of positions and below average at most.

Good thing for NY they didnt trade away all of their future lottery picks so they can rebuild how all good teams rebuild, through the draft.

I think Donnie Walsh at this Christmas will be visited by the ghost of nba execs past played by Ted Stepien. :chuckles:

God, incredible ass...

Lebron better not play over 40 minutes in this one.

LeBron didn't play over 40 in the last game, sure he was out there, but he wasn't playing for about half of it.

They should play a tweet sound whenever CV makes a shot, or makes a free throw.

Judging his performance over the last 5 games, it's going to be a quiet night at the Q...

According to Windhorst. On Weds, it sounded like West would be back tonight, but I guess it's still up in the air?

Notable: Pistons forward Ben Wallace (knee) and Chris Wilcox (back) are questionable; Cavs guards Delonte West (personal reasons) and Daniel Gibson (personal reasons) are questionable. . . . The Cavs have beaten the Pistons eight times in a row including last season's playoffs. . . . The Pistons are on a five-game losing streak, the longest in the NBA.

Mr. Wahoo just posted a GREAT read on our former rivalry with Detroit. It will really make you reminisce about past series. Make sure to read it and leave a comment or two about what you remember most from the short lived Detroit rivalry...

I'm about to head home from school for Spring Break. My girl just called me and is taking me to this game. Hells yeah.

Who is glad we got Jamison in the end instead of CV? I don't like to say it about anyone, but I don't think Charlie V is very smart at all. We really dodged a bullet when they overpaid.

I love Ben Wallace. Miss the dude. He helped our team become tougher, and his movements on the floor were just awesome to watch. His screens were some of the best I have ever seen. I still wear his shoes and I have a "fear the fro" shirt. I know he is really a nice family man, but he is the most intimidating guy ever.
