I couldn't really find too many good Pistons cheerleaders pictures, so here's Vida Guerra instead:

Your NumbersDont preview, courtesy of MoFloDeepInTheQ:

The Cavaliers are on yet another 5 game winning streak. It’s their 5th of the season, and the 11th of the past 2 seasons. In 8 of those instances, the winning streak would eventually end on the road. They have now held their last 5 opponents to 97.2 points per game on 43.9% shooting, including 30.1% from behind the arc. The Cavaliers have also outscored their opposition in this win streak by an average of 17.6 points per game.

That 5th straight win came at the expense of the New Jersey Nets, 111-92. LeBron James had a measley 26 points on 10-18 shooting, to go along with his 7 rebounds, 14 assists & 3 steals. J.J Hickson had another break out game starting his 2nd straight game at center, exploding for 20 points & 13 rebounds for his 1st career 20/10 game. Congrats J.J! Antawn Jamison struggled from the field, shooting just 9-23, but added 19 points & 9 rebounds, while Mo Williams chipped in 16 points & 6 assists. Andy Varejao did his thing as usual off the bench, netting 12 points & 6 boards in what amounted to be about a half of a game.

Detroit meanwhile is coming off of a 128-104 loss in New York. Tayshaun Prince & Rodney Stuckey paced 6 Detroit players in double figures with 16 points each, with Prince adding 5 rebounds & Stucky 6 assists. Jonas Jerebko got his 5th career double double, with 15 points & 13 boards with a couple of triple hits to go along with it. Jason Maxiell got the start at center & pitched in with 10 points & 8 rebounds, while Ben Gordon & Will Bynum shot 8-14 from the field off the bench for 21 points in the loss.

All-Time Series:

*
Overall: Cleveland 71 (98.7 PPG) – Detroit 108 (101.4 PPG)
*
LeBron era: Cleveland 11 (83.9 PPG) – Detroit 14 (86.4 PPG)
*
The Cavaliers have won the last 4 meetings, including 3 of the last 4 at the Q.

Last Meeting:

November 25, 2009: Cleveland 98 – Detroit 88.

The Cavaliers won their 4th straight game against Detroit, taking an 18 point lead into the half, and never looking back. LeBron James had a typical LeBron performance, shooting 12-24 for 34 points, 7 rebounds & 7 assists to pace the Clevelanders. The starting back court of Mo Williams & Anthony Parker combined for 27 points, with Mo chipping in 8 assists & 2 steals and both adding 2 triple hits apiece. Boobie Gibson & Jamario Moon provided a lift off the bench, shooting 9-12 from the field (4-4 from homerun range) for 24 points, with Moon contributing 3 rebounds & 2 blocks and Boobie hitting on 3 of those 4 from behind the arc.

Detroit had just 3 players in double figures, paced by Rodney Stuckey’s 25, as he added 0 assists in 40 minutes of action. Charlie Villanueva tried to provide a lift, chipping in 19 points with 8 rebounds & a pair of blocks, but to no avail. Jason Maxiell & Austin Daye combined for 19 off the bench for the Pistons on 7-13 shooting, while Will Bynum went just 1-13 from the floor in the loss.

Early Lead:

Detroit is 17-10 when they lead or are tied at halftime as opposed to 4-30 when trailing at the intermission.

Cleveland’s Highlight Performance:

November 24, 2004: Cleveland 92 – Detroit 76.

LeBron James: 15-22 FG; 2-3 3s; 11-12 FT; 43 Pts; 6 Rebs; 5 Assists; 3 Steals; 1 Block; 3 Turnovers

Detroit’s Highlight Performance:

April 18, 1989: Detroit 118 – Cleveland 102.

Joe Dumars: 18-26 FG; 4-5 3s; 2-3 FT; 42 Pts; 4 Rebs; 11 Assists; 3 Steals

Make them play one on one:

Detroit is 11-8 when their top assist guy for a game has 8 or more.

Match-up to Watch:

Mo Williams vs. Rodney Stuckey.

The Cavaliers have trouble with quicker guards who get to the rim, and Stuckey is great at getting into the paint. The help D will have to be in top shape in this one, as Stuckey looks to score more often than dish it off, although the stats suggest he do otherwise, as the Pistons are 13-12 when he has 6+ assists & 11-6 when he has 7+ assists.

Rotation to Watch:

Bynum-Gordon-Stucky-Villanueva-Wallace.

Detroit’s small lineup is by far their most effective, allowing just 1.04 points per possession while outscoring opponents by 23 when they’re on the floor. The 5th most used lineup for Detroit also scores 1.25 points per possession, the 2nd most out of their 10 most used lineups.

What to Watch:

*
Defense into Offense. Detroit is 12-6 when they score 98 points or more in a game. They are also 3-20 when they allow their opponents to score more than 100 points in a game.

*
Ben Gordon. Gordon has always provided a lift off the bench wherever he has gone. When he plays & shoots 45% or better in a game, Detroit is 10-10, as opposed to 3-19 when he plays & shoots worse than 45%.

*
Turnovers. The Cavaliers have had a big problem with taking care of the basketball lately. Detroit doesn’t play the uptempo game that New Jersey or New York does, so this is a good game to rectify the turnover problem before it carries over to a team that can take advantage.

*
Front court. An already small front court gets even smaller, as Ben Wallace looks to be out in this one for Detroit. Expect the Cavaliers to pound the paint even moreso than they did against New Jersey.

*
Tayshaun Prince. He’s only played in 29 games this season, and Detroit is only 7-22 in those games. However, they are 5-5 when Prince scores 14+ points.

He didn't play Wednesday against the Knicks. He might not play Friday night, but I kept him in the starting lineup because he's listed as day to day.

They should play a tweet sound whenever CV makes a shot, or makes a free throw.

Always fun to beat down DET.

We have a tough back to back with @MIL so hopefully the starters put this game away quick.

Nice preview, I like the comic theme

I was going to go to this game, but then I realized I'm broke so I'll be watching it on TV. Should be an easy win, it's still amazing how far Detroit dropped in one season.

I'd love to see Ben Wallace start this game at center, just so that JJ can dunk all over him.

The things I would do to that ass.... anyways on a side note, I'm going to the game should I suck up my manhood and wear the damn snuggie for the world record or say screw it and keep my pride??? On another side not since I'm going to the game I'm missing the UA vs Kent game, GO ZIPS!

Wear the god damn snuggie.....were going for a record here.:chuckles:

Awesome preview. The comic book was a tight idea. I want to see JJ dunk on Charlie V's bitch ass.

Love the comic book spin to the preview, great job!
