GAME 68 | Cavaliers vs Heat | Wednesday Mar. 20 7:00 pm

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Think about all the good press that would have come from the Cavs ending the streak.

Instead, people keep talking about the Heat, and Cleveland is the punchline again.

It was a missed opportunity, and a huge let-down.

It was a let down..

I have watched a lot of games and that was a huge letdown.
The Cavs got their doors blown off worse then they overwhelmed the Heat early on.

Too many mental mistakes during the run..allowing themselves to get trapped in corners and just literally throwing the ball into the Heats hands several times.

Scott did not utilize his TO's like I thought he should have nor did he change up his D to make the Heat work the ball and take time off the clock.

Once the Heat turned on the defensive pressure mid-way third quarter, the Cavs offense was effectively shut down. Much of the time during each possession occurred with the ball well outside the arc. No one of the Cavs could handle the ball in any way to get away from the pressing defense and traps. The ball just didn't move enough to beat the defense.

What stumps me is how the Cavs can't run a play where Tristan sets up on the block and go from there. Even the Heat aren't good enough to deny that set-up time after time. I'm not advocating TT shoot a ton on those touches, but it just sets up other open shooters plus has at least one Cav big in the paint for a rebound. Look at the replay of the last 18 minutes and see how few times there were any Cavs within 6 feet of getting any rebound on the offensive end. That tells me that guys were standing around the perimeter, stunned, in a panic or plain dumb.

Personnel was part of the issue, but Scott should take his share of the blame.

So funny how we are all on here tearing each other apart and the team because we couldn't beat LeBron.
Relax people, Spurs will end the streak anyways.

That LeBron stare down after his 3 was cold hearted, it had the look of fuck u Cleveland.

It's the fucking way we displayed ourselves AGAIN.

The fans? The fans were loud and proud. There were Heat fans mixed in, but so what? Cavs fans definitely showed up and were loud.

Was it the fan that ran on the court? He was a LeBron fan. I'm not sure that shows bad on Cleveland. Now he gets a nap in prison. Not the first, nor the last time someone runs on the court.

Was it the players? Our best three players were out last night. The other players played extremely well. You're upset because mostly bench players couldn't beat the best team in the league? That sounds pretty stupid to me. I wonder how OKC would do against the Heat without Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka? I think they played fantastic, but just couldn't keep up when the Heat stepped it up a notch. A young team will do that.

Went to the game last night. People talked about it feeling like a playoff atmosphere, I didn't see it that way. Felt eerie, something wasn't right kind of feeling. The cheering and booing was mixed and when the Heat made the comeback it was overwhelming filled with Miami fans. Never have I been to a Cleveland home game where it was so overwhelmed by the other teams fans. I actually got to the point where I didn't want to be there because of all the Miami fan high fiving, it disgusted me. None the less I stayed and the Cleveland fans seemed to really careless that Cleveland lost. Overall probably don't want to go to another game against the Heat unless I know we have a chance.
Do have a funny story. Was with my brother and sitting behind me was a 10 yr old with his Dad. As the game went along the Cavs had broken out to a 22 point lead and the kid says," This is the best game ever!!" At that point my brother turns around and says, "it's not over yet we still have the second half." Tthe Father comes back with, "what are you a front runner?" My Brother, "No, just a Clevelander that doesn't get his hopes up." Then he turns around and we pay no attention to them until Lebron hits a three and put Miami up 1. At that point myy brother turns around and replies, with his hands in the air, "This is the best game ever!!!" I was rolling.

First off, you just went to a game where the Cavs had a chance. Five seconds left and the ball down by one is definitely a good chance. Ellington just missed too. In spite of everything any of us thought before the game, the team did everything it could to try to end the Heat's streak. It just was not to be.

Second of all, your brother sounds like a troll. Picking on a 10 year old who was excited his home town was winning, so he just had to go and troll him. It wasn't funny at all. He sounds just like the fans you are complaining about in your post for supporting the Heat. Hell, considering some of your posts I don't know why I should be surprised.

The more crap I read in this thread the more disappointed I get. I think this thread is worse then anything that went wrong for the Cavs last night. I just can't wait for this season to conclude.

I was there. I saw multiple Cavs fans around me clapping for LeBron. It's unacceptable.

Oh and that guy that ran on the court? Makes the CITY look bad. Again.

I think pessimists that intentionally look for and point out bad things is what perpetuates Cleveland hate in Cleveland. It's like how kids pick on other kids. They only do it because they get a reaction to laugh at. Once you stop reacting they stop picking on you. Happiness is a state of mind. There are always going to be people hating on your city. There are always going to be front runners.

The only thing you can do is be happy with the progress we are making and ignore the ignorant front runners. Otherwise you are just perpetuating the thing that you hate.

Jason Pinkston picked up the dude who ran on the court from jail and paid his bond, awesome.

All the losing/tanking would seem much sweeter if the Cavs had won last night. Definitely the game of the season.
