Game #7-Cleveland Browns @ Green Bay Packers-October 19, 2013 4:25 p.m. EST

This flip is different, to be fair. Game is over. Play HAS to be made. If it's intercepted, no big deal at that point as a sack ends the game regardless. Might as well fling something up there and pray.

How does a sack end the game exactly? It was only 2nd down. Yes we were down by 18 but the game was way over before that ball was even snapped.

Go to my twitter and see how I feel about Brandon Weeden...

I despise him (in his anchorman voice) :chuckles:

Right. So just flipping the ball in hopes something happens really has no impact one way or another. It's not nearly as damning as the one the week before, where the game was still in the balance and it was 1st down. Here, if it gets intercepted, no one gives a shit, games over anyway.

Still, the fact that there's an increased chance of an interception by flipping the ball, when you have at least another down left, means it's still a poor football play. Risk is far greater than reward. On 2nd down you're better off just taking the sack or throwing the ball out of bounds every time.
