Game 72 | Cavaliers @ Hornets | March 24th, 2010 | 8:00 PM (EST)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
And we will conclude the last 2 minutes of this NBA contest with a string of bad shots by LeBron James......

Wow, Brown cleared the bench....

Sighs..... Watch the games more closely please.

In the LAST 4 MINUTES, Lebron made a bank shot (over CP3 on the post), Made two FT's, Made another bank shot over CP3 on the post (this one about 3 feet away from the basket), and then Missed a three pointer (a bad possession).

I don't see where you get a "string of bad shots by Lebron James" from.

I'm not trying to disrespect you or anything but you seriously have issues with Lebron. The dude can have a 40 point triple double in the first half and you'll complain about him missing a couple of defensive assignments.

You act a if Kobe, Wade, Durant, Melo and others don't miss defensive assignment. You act as if the great Michael Jordan didn't miss any defensive assignments. You act like all those guys never took bad shots.

I don't know, KD did drop 40 right after Lebron put up 15 last game. As of now he should still be about .1 ppg behind Durantula.

Actually, prior to tonight, both LeBron and Durant had played in 69 games. Durant had scored 2052 points overall, LeBron 2048. Now they both have 70 games under their belt, Durant will have 2077 points, LeBron with 2086. So, LeBron has the edge.

Realistically, MB needs to get advice from Roy Williams at Carolina on how to sub in a whole new five because both these Cavs and Tar Heels of past years are loaded/have been loaded and go about 10/11 deep.

Prior to this game Durant was only 4 points up on LeBron so you are right LBJ will overtake him as the league leader in scoring.

Oh wow nevermind then thanks for that. All is right in the world :chuckles:. I just want Lebron to round it off at an even 30.0 so when we look back and see that this has been a career year for him we can say he dropped 30/8.5/7. Wow now that I look at it, those are absolutely ridiculous numbers. Especially for a team with a relatively slow pace like the Cavs.

Does this have potential to top the epic Scoring Champion duel between David Thompson and George Gervin? This seems to be every bit as close, and Melo may have a resurgence towards the end to bolster his case. This is really shaping up to be a pretty epic showdown.

Nah, he clearly was a different player tonight. He had numerous soft lay-ups that he would have bounced off of every side of the rim two months ago. He had three iso dribble drives/moves to the basket and finished them all.

He finished better tonight, but that's not good enough to transform someone into a 20/10 player. I'm thrilled with how his touch around the basket has improved, though.

MYoung was predicting that would happen in the last 2 minutes, not reflecting on what he saw.

It all changed when the bench cleared. (which came after LeBron tossed up a long 3)

just got back from dinner...didn't get to watch any of the game. I am happy with the win. It looks like my boy Delonte had a great game and it looks more and more like he will become an important part of the playoff picture. I was wondering why Leon Powe didn't play much tonight after his great game against Detroit. I understand Z was back and there was less minutes for our bigs but i was hoping he would still could some minutes.

Brown played 8 guys total for the first 46.5 minutes. So there was no time for Powe, Moon, Gibson, Jawad, etc.

I found it pretty odd, although it did at least give Z some practice minutes (which he needs!).

I figured Powe wouldn't play, but thought Jawad or Moon would get some time.

Had to miss this one. Is Lebron's ankle alright?

I wouldn't even waste time harping on who didn't play/why...we are so ridiculously deep that it's going to be a very tough job for MB to handle the rotations. It would be a tough job for ANY coach. Anytime your team under-performs you're going to be second-guessed about your rotation, just by the nature of the situation. Hindsight runs rampant in situations like these---I'm glad I'm not Mike Brown right now(although I wouldn't mind the 7 figure paycheck).

I think the internal competition on the team is good. You know if you don't play well, another guy can. I am loving the way this team is playing right now.

The Cavs are 26-11 on the road, 1 game away from tying the franchise record for road wins.

Pretty remarkable numbers, even if it seems like a ho-hum event with this team.

Had to miss this one. Is Lebron's ankle alright?

He played the entire 2nd half until the 2 minute mark so it would not stiffen up on him....he will be fine though, it did not look bad at all

He played gingerly at times in the 2nd half, but still dominated play, and played for nearly the entire 2nd half after the full intermission of downtime.

Good thing they don't have a game tomorrow night, though.
