Game Preview – Wednesday March 31, 2010 – Milwaukee Bucks @ Cleveland Cavaliers

It didn’t take long for the Cavaliers to get back on their winning ways, as they held their 39th opponent to under 95 points on Z’s big return game to the Q. For comparison’s sake, they held 51 opponents to under 95 points last season. With 8 games remaining, the Cavaliers still have a little time to tighten up the screws defensively, as well as offensively, where a few key rotation guys have struggled lately.

The Cavaliers won on Z’s big return afternoon on Sunday, defeating the Sacramento “Queens,” as Shaq once called them, 97-90. Sacramento hung around & trailed by just 6 heading into the half, but the Cavaliers held them off by holding them to 38 2nd half points. (I won’t mention the fact that the Cavaliers only had 39 points in the 2nd half themselves). LeBron James led the Clevelanders with 34 points on 13-22 shooting, to go along with 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, & 3 triple hits, while Antawn Jamison continues to be a terrific 2nd option, going 11-21 (2-4 from downtown) for his 26 points & 9 boards. J.J Hickson & Anthony Parker contributed 10 points apiece, J.J on 5-8 shooting with 5 rebounds, while Parker added 3 boards, 3 assists, & 3 steals.

Milwaukee is coming off of a route of the Clippers at home, 107-89. The Bucks came out of the gate on fire, taking a 15 point lead into halftime. Ersan Ilyasova came off the bench to lead 5 double digit scorers with 20 points to go along with 8 rebounds on 8-14 shooting, while Jerry Stackhouse went 7-10 for his 16 points, also off the bench. Brandon Jennings added 17 points, 5 boards, & 6 assists, while Andrew Bogut contributed 14 & 9 rebounds in just 25 minutes. Charlie Bell added 10 on 4-8 shooting in the Milwaukee win.​
