Game 77 | Cavaliers @ Celtics | April 4th, 2010 | 1:00 PM (EST)

I disagree, and I'm hardly a LeBron apologist. I get on LeBron very often about his fourth quarter play, shot selection, defense at times. I just don't feel that the shot he took there was the worst decision ever. I think he saw he had a clean look, saw Jamison under the rim in position to rebound, and decided we were going to either win the game or not right there in regulation.

I guess its just mentality. All of us watching the game wanted the Cavs to win at all costs and make the right decisions in order to do so. Lebron apparently wanted a regulation decision and felt the game wasn't very important.Which is wasn't, considering the comeback was enough for us to know who is the better team.

The emotional investment we have in every individual game makes Lebron's decision look worse to us than it was. Guess I can't fault him too much.

unless he does this in the playoffs..

I think you're right on the money here, which is precisely why I "divested" myself from the outcome of the rest of the regular season once it became apparent the Lakers aren't catching us(although I'll admit that the Milwaukee game was the exception for me, I was seriously invested in that game and would have probably been jumping off a cliff if something similar happened and we lost)

As for LeBron's decision making, Shaq will be in his ear telling him what to do.

How's he going to do that with LeBron jetting down the court with under 10 seconds left? I'm not sure Shaq can keep up with him and talk at the same time.

In the end, this wasn't a playoff game and the Cavs were essentially playing for nothing. Playoff games never look like regular season games. At no point in the game was I really into this because I knew it meant nothing, so I am sure the Cavs felt the same way.

mogotti2 Tough loss, we did a great job. Even refs have off nights so we gone cut them some slack. No excuses. Boston don't want to see us though.

Those dunkmans look nice on the court, glad i copped a pair

I wish Mo would have had his phone to Tweet after LeBron chucked up that 3.

The look on his face screamed "DUDE! WTF?!?"

I thought that was the funniest thing I saw today...his smirk was hilarious. Like a "You ain't me LBJ you can't stop on a dime and make a 3 like I did earlier" look. Pretty funny.

Boobie got twitter, from after game

we aint worried bout the c's. we prolly wont see them in playoffs. if we do they in for it. cant handle us in 7 game series

lot of swearing and talkin down towards lebron

Our whole team luv how much trash KG talk. We want to apologize for lack of effort through 3 qrtrs. We all kno c's cant stop us at our best

WOW. The Cavs doing some major trash talking. Kinda like it. Just really echoing what we all already know.

Too bad the Spurs/Lakers game didn't get played before Cavs/Celtics. Could have sat the starters, let the bench bunch run, and made some FTs. :chuckles:

I didn't like the stupid things the Cavs did today, but the overall picture is that they lost a road game during the regular season and yet they still got the #1 seed, which was the main goal for today.

2 weeks where they can spend their entire focus on getting rest and getting ready for the playoffs. Hopefully, they'll start to cure themselves of some bad habits after a few weeks of games where little has been on the line.

He let Garnett get in his head. Instead of doing the logical thing and tying the ball game, he went for the win to try to shut Garnett up.
- agreed !
Did anyone Find out WTF is up with Mo ? Is He Hurt ? Why was he sitting in the 4th ?

We went on our huge run with him out, so we ran with that line-up. Happens all the time when teams go on those kind of runs.

As for LeBron's decision, I had no problem with it. I was actually calling for it because I didn't want overtime. I was saying the whole time, "if the cavs are down 2, let's just take a 3 and go home with the results." Of course, I wasn't watching this game at my house and I really wanted to go home. :chuckles:

Anyways, he had a good look and AJ was under the rim. He missed, oh well. If he hits it we are praising him. No reason to go into overtime and log heavy minutes.
