Game 82 | Cavaliers @ Hawks | April 14th, 2010 | 8:00 PM (EST)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I understand it, but what was the difference for the Hawks? Essentially they played for pride, we didn't.

They probably know they have no chance getting through a series with us, which is what they'll have to do if they wanna win a championship.

Does anyone have any idea why Danny Green wasn't on the active roster and in uniform for tonight's game? Searched through the thread a little and didn't find anything.

Not a huge deal but a game like tonight seems like it would be a good opportunity to give him quality minutes.

Jesus Christ, people just love pushing the panic button. Everyone flipping out over this, get this through your heads:

1)We have won 61 games this season and locked up HCA throughout the entire playoffs
2)Our starters have gotten a lot of rest over these last few games, and are more than ready for the playoffs
3)No one on the Cavs bench gave a shit, and they had more at stake in this game than any of us do so there's absolutely no reason to bitch this much when our own players realize this game was treated like an absolute joke by all the veterans and the coaching staff.
4)This was the other team's home court, and their bench players had way more to play for.
5)The regular season is FINALLY OVER, and the real season is just about to begin.

So lighten the fuck up, why the hell do people get this worked up over a 4 game skid when we locked up the best record by the time our 75th game came around and most of our starters were resting.

This is Cleveland we're talking about......the curse lives in us...

Tyrus Thomas of the Bobcats got injured in the second half of the last game of the season, of a totally meaningless game for the Bobcats. X-rays were negative but more tests tomorrow. I didn't catch what he injured and have not seen anything about it yet. The Bobcats had ZERO to play for against Miami tonight, but yet, the coach played the starters anyhoo. Look what that got them?.... an injured player.

All those in here crying about how bad the Cavs have ended the season; just keep in mind just how bad the season would have ended if a key player had gotten injured because a few fans were pissed off the key players didn't play. I can't imagine the outrage in here if MB had played ALL key players and one or two came up lame.

I'm damn fine with losing totally meaningless and worthless and useless games. We are healthy. In fact; we seem to be healthier now than at anytime during the last six months.

The only way we can possibly lose to Chicago is if MB coaches us out of the series, and even then, I'm not sure if that's possible. What I mean by this is too much of Weak Sauce, not enough of "Hot Sauce in my bag."

If Rose doesn't go off on us, we'll be totally fine. The solution to this possible problem is putting Delonte on Rose and Mo on Hinrich. Chicago has a small backcourt, so playing our two best backcourt players shouldn't be a problem, because we won't be at a size disadvantage, or at least not much of one.

Shaq won't have to move out of the paint much except when Noah is setting screens on the perimeter, and Shaq will absolutely abuse Noah inside or we'll have some sort of wide open shot if they double Shaq on offense.

Nobody got hurt, and I didn't watch the game.

So it felt like two victories to me. :D

As long as the Cavs can shake off the rust and start dominating Chicago the way they should, then the last 2 weeks (and actually longer) of crappy, uninterested, B-team basketball is forgiven.

Their aim has been to win it all, and they felt this was the best strategy. If it works, then I'm all for it. If they can't put it all back together and play sharp, then the complaints about tonight's game will get amplified by a billion.

For me the season was up as soon as the Cavs ckinched home court..this stuff has been boring.

oops. It was Tyson Chandler who got hurt for the Bobcats in a meaningless game, and not Tyrus Thomas as I posted earlier.

Bobcats lose C Chandler to hip, elbow injuries

Associated Press, 04.14.10, 09:54 PM EDT

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte Bobcats center Tyson Chandler hurt his hip and left elbow when he crashed to the floor in the second quarter of Wednesday's game against Chicago and didn't return.

Chandler tried to grab a deflected pass along the sideline when he collided with Chicago's James Johnson and crashed to the floor on his left elbow and side.

An X-ray on his elbow was negative.

The injury happened not long after Bobcats coach Larry Brown said he faced a "dilemma" over whether to play his regulars in the final regular-season game. While Charlotte was locked into the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls entered the game in a race with Toronto for the final playoff spot.

He played his main players in spite of the game meaning nothing.
