It felt like a methodical-going game. Like the Sixers felt they could ramp it up at any time. And partially in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, they did ramp up the D. It looked closer than it really was at the end, but that's just the difference between the actual teams (Philly will have homecourt advantage in the first round, maybe the second round as well while Cleveland is scrapping to not be the worst in the league, while missing key players for the next month or so minimum).
I also felt that Coach Drew didn't put us in a position to succeed either. Not that it would've made a difference but there's a resistance in pairing certain players together (and no urgency in subbing players in). Real coaches that want that victory would probably make changes before half the quarter is finished...
For the players themselves, not a lot to say that hasn't been already said, but Clarkson and Sexton are way too similar in play styles to actually succeed on the court together (at least Sexton won't horde the ball for 16+ seconds on each possession). If anything, they should be subbed for the other and maybe have Delly share the court with both of them. Because damn, Delly can get anyone going, just he always did with Dion.
Our team is pretty fragile as is, but there's not much that will help, now that we know what we have. But for some reason, I enjoyed going to the game, even though it sucks to watch them lose.
