Game Thread 2019-20 Season Game #18 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs Orlando Magic | Nov 27th, 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is gonna be a long year. Been saying it since preseason. We are going to have to labor through November and December. Once we get to 2020 we should see some trades with our expirings. But don't be shocked if we are like 9-26 come Jan 1st.

2020 we will clear out the trash and clean up the cap. Get another top 5 pick and then we roll with the young guys. This team currently has no leader and that is the problem. Love and TT need to go and we have to let the Young Bull run shit.

I would be happy with 9-26, but I’m not sure we get there. That’s 4 more wins. Who are we going to BEAT?

i wanna put a Fitbit on Beeline and see how many steps he walks during the course of a game - I rarely remember him sitting tonight.

I actually liked the game. Moved the ball. Tried making plays. Not surprising this long ass team caused some turnovers on young players.

Porter looked good. He's cool as hell. He's really gonna be good at drawing fouls. Got fouled several times tonight, no call.

We are on pace for 23 wins which is around projected I would have thought.. plus we have had a pretty tough schedule. I think we end between 20-25 wins and a lovely draft pick for our troubles :)

Depends on what you extrapolate from; we had a 4-5 start, and since then we’ve been 1-8. Are we winning 44% of our games, or 11%, or 27%.

I look at it this way.

Teams the Cavs lost to:

Bucks (15-3)
Celtics (13-4)
Heat (12-5) (two losses)
Sixers (12-6) (two losses)
Mavericks (11-6) (two losses)
Pacers (11-6)
Magic (7-10) (two losses)
Knicks (4-14)

Teams the Cavs beat:

Pacers (11-6)
Blazers (7-12)
Bulls (6-13)
Wizards (6-10)
Knicks (4-14)

Against below .500 teams they're 4-3. Against above .500 teams they're 1-9.

If they finish the season winning 57% of their games against below .500 teams and 11% against above .500 teams they'll end up with 28 wins, assuming they continue to play at the same level, which they almost surely won't. They should improve for a while as the young players get more experience and they they'll get a lot worse when TT and Clarkson are traded.

Yeah I've seen it ranked the hardest schedule so far. This one says 3rd hardest.

28 wins is around the high water mark I set at the beginning of the season. I thought 30 was too many. I did think once they were playing everyone close, it would be higher. Not sure now, but it does seem like they are in these games again.
