Game Thread 2019-20 Season Game #3 | Cleveland Cavaliers @ Milwaukee Bucks | Oct 28th, 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Great effort today. No matter how you put it, this team is fun, and you can tell that despite the overwhelming difference in talent on most nights, we're building good habits and playing the game the right way.

The final score won't suggest it, but we really fought hard and gave these Bucks a good challenge (boy, do they get hot from 3 in a hurry). I'd surmise that Beilein and Koby are content with "impressive" losses like this that show a great deal of promise and development from a young team whose priority is to learn how to win together by playing the game the "right way."

Side note: I've always loved Kyle Korver. But I'll never forget how he choked up and botched his one job in back-to-back Playoffs.

They aren't rotating to three point shooters, but playing against a team where all five at all times are a 40% ish shooter from the outside starts messing with the Cavs. This was a great, great effort up until the five minute mark.
Yes...I just never felt they were going to overtake the Bucks. The effort is there..the team needs a boost of talent upfront.

Saw something interesting at the end of this game that i'm not sure people may have been able to see in the broadcast. Was real late in the 4th maybe like 3 or so mins. left, Porter banged knees with someone and was hobbling a bit obviously in pain. He kept looking over at Beilein to take him and and he left him out there for what could have been like 2 mins. at most. When he finally did come out of the game he mean mugged the shit out of Beilein on his way to the end of the bench. I kept watching to see what he was doing and Sex was over there trying to calm him down and then eventually you could see Nance talking to him as well. I don't want to say it was concerning or anything, but if you could have seen his body language he looked like a child about to have a temper tantrum.

You were at the game?

That sounds concerning.

Yeah, just something my buddy and i were watching, kinda like uhhhh wtf is going on down there? He was definitely pissed to the point that Sex and Nance had to calm him down.

I guess we got our JR replacement? hopefully hell grow out of it.

I saw it on TV. He was flopping around and waving at the coach to take him out.

Didn't see the mean face.

Thanks for sharing!

Interesting, but we knew of some red flags coming in. If it's only a bad temper I'll gladly take it, that's the easiest to mature out of. Confident and passionate players are like that usually anyway.

not to mention the fact that this team has some pretty level headed young men such as Sexton and Nance that were able to recognize his displeasure and go over to talk to him. Could anyone see Kyrie, JR, or even Lebron recognizing Porter’s frustration?

Maybe Beilein was taking the opportunity to make a man out of him, show him that sometimes you're going to have to play through it. Yeah, they showed him gimp his way down to the end of the bench and throw himself down in a chair. He definitely looked pissed and he was being talked to. Part of learning to be a pro.

I honestly thought at 91-96 that the cavs would pull this one out.
Or at least make it close down the stretch, but the Bucks woke up and went on a tear, scoring 28 in the next six minutes to 12 for the Cavs to put it away.

Good effort overall, though. No way we're going to win in Milwaukee when they have all their guys, especially in the first week of the season. They're just too experienced and too good at shooting 3's, not to mention having the reigning MVP who has to be doubled, leaving a 3-point shooter open. When they put Giannis on the floor with four 3-point shooters they are impossible to defend.
