Game Thread 2019-20 Season Game #4 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls | Oct 30th, 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You are tripping... go check his stats from his rookie season and compare it to now.
Check his playoffs runs too. Nothing comes close. TT is a scorer now.

He is scoring 21 points on 60 percent, 12 rebs, 2 blks per game right now
The operative word is "RIGHT NOW"...this season just started , wait till it's over before you proclaim that.
I'm mainly talking about EFFORT.
Only person tripping is you right now...since you really want to debate him after 4 games.
Give it 30-35 games then see.

TT never played like this for any stretch, ever.

You weren't talking about effort since you mentioned scoring and rebounds. But whatever, it doesn't matter. TT is playing like a beast and this looks sustainable. Maybe not to this extent, but he is clearly the best he has ever been, even if you don't acknowledge that.

You were the one debating him man as you said he is back to what he used to be. I merely said that he never played at this level.

I just need you to remind me when was TT such a focal point of the offense and produced on such high percentages and looked this dominant. His first two season he tried to be, but he failed.

Bottom line, TT makes me wonder what we should do as far as trading or extending him.

He didn't need to be the focal point on offense because of who was on the team but his defensive effort was there before ..he was a rookie and as rookie bigs go, he needed time to see how he developed from Texas.
He's been a good rebounder before.
His first two seasons he had a role which didn't highlight him being the focus down low although he wasn't playing center. He was playing more PF .
Andy was playing center most of the time.
At this point as far as extending him..I don't know..too early for me to think about it.

Man what a fun 4th quarter, was so hype.

I only managed to find a freaking Chicago torrent so I was stuck with their pretentious and snob joke of announcers but it was still awesome to watch the guys ball out.

We are slowly learning how to win.

I kinda like the Bulls announcers lol

I hated them so much. Not only boring but arrogant too. At least for me.

But what is this new let's call every scrub by their given name stuff btw? Wendell? Thaddeus? Otto??

It's what they do.

I had the home feed, but usually I like them.

Just watched the game - very exciting to watch this team play basketball- feels like it is actual basketball again. Really proud of the team and coaching staff. Played hard, moved around, and played with passion.

Basketball is fun to watch with this Cavaliers team. Looking forward to the young players develop and grow. At the same time, TT and Love were amazing too.

Well that was one on of the best games I've watched in a while. This team is FUN, so fun it brought me back to posting on here for the first time in a hot minute.

Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love inside all year... WATCH OUT!!!

I watched the World Series last night and the Cavs game this morning. Awesome win! They hung tough after being behind until halfway through the third quarter and dominated the fourth.

So many things to like. The effort, the emotion, the teamwork. Thompson and Love are leading the way and the young guys are following. Where are the posters who were predicting fewer than 19 wins this year?

The Cavs shot 52.6% from the field and 41.7% on 3's. They dished out 25 assists and crushed the Bulls on the glass 47-32. TT was a stud with 23 points, 10 boards, 5 blocks and great defense. He's serious about getting named to the All-Defensive first team. His offense is on a whole 'nuther level this year.

Love with 17 points, 20 boards, and 6 assists with a team-high +12. What was great to see was the excitement and joy on his face when Porter blocked a shot, grabbed the rebound, and finished with a monster dunk on the other end. You can tell Love enjoys playing on this team.

Speaking of Porter, he had easily his best game yet with a line of 9/4/2 and +7 in 20 minutes. Beilein left him on the floor at crunch time in the 4th quarter when the Cavs were pushing out to a lead and the rookie did not shrink from the moment. He needs work on not letting his man beat him off the dribble, but his quickness and agility is tremendous. He also hit his first NBA three-pointer. He gets to the rim, draws contact, and makes his foul shots. Big upside for this teenager, but he needs to develop a reliable outside shot.

The Bulls only committed 6 turnovers to 17 for the Cavs and normally that adds up to a loss. The Bulls put up 90 shots to only 78 for the Cavs but the Cavs' defense, rebounding, and high shooting percentage carried the day.

Sexton and Clarkson did their jobs on the offensive end. Sexton was in foul trouble most of the way but still put up 18 in 28 minutes, including some spectacular layups in traffic. He's starting to spin his layups off the glass like Kyrie. That dunk over their big man in the final minute brought down the house. He needs to reduce the fouls and turnovers, though.

Cedi had a quiet game but was extremely efficient, hitting 4-of-5 three pointers. Those 12 points were huge. That's all we need out of him.

The Bulls are now 1-4 so they're not a good team and the Cavs were at home. But it was still a great win. This team is going to get better week by week. I'm not sure how Beilein is going to work Henson, Windler, and Zizic into the lineup once they are ready. The starting five is solid and we have a nice bench of Nance, Clarkson, Porter and Delly. It's going to be a very interesting season.

This was a close game all the way and ex

Thanks for the story once again.

You are currently leading the site as the TLDR master. I read it, but it's getting longer and longer. I get some Hubie vibes

So is shooting over 50% from the field the last three games and shooting over 40% from 3 for the season. But people don't like to talk about the good things Sexton does.

Hard to believe with all of the negativity towards him but Sexton has quietly been one of the Cavs best scorers efficiency wise.

I didn't say he doesn't do some things well. I said he's a terrible PG.

I don't even know why this is still an issue. Garland was named the starting PG at the beginning of the year. This doesn't mean Sexton shouldn't still work on his decision making but I look at him as primarily a scoring guard now that the Cavs made their decision.

I agree. Off the ball Sexton is a beautiful thing... especially when he cuts to the basket and DUNKS IT. I stood up when he did that.

Sextons been really good. He's still 29 years old. Dunno why people need a complete game from him already. His plus minutes is great and he is defending AND shooting it well and muscling his way to the basket. He is doing great.
