They’re calling JB out. Austin and Brad said there needs to be changes to the lineup.
 
Look, if all the Cavs wanted to do was win they'd start Delly and Porter and go from there. Offense flows and defense is immensely better.

That ain't the priority though.
 
Honestly the Cavs on offense have been relatively ok. They seem to generate good looks most of the time.

They cna't defend a soul though right now. The starting unit in particular.

Delly cant cant handle a starters workload at this point in his career. What are you people smoking ?

Well mainly I'm watching Sexton get just eviscerated every night on defense as if he's not even there and thinking "maybe he's not very good." I dunno.

No. You don’t know. You think delly should be the starter. ? Because he had one good game tonight That is enough for you ? One game. You dont know. Your right
I get sextons defense but they put him vs the others teams two guard constantly
Sexton had 24 points. 3 boards. 4 assists. 9/20 from the field in 32 mins. Yes. He is the problem. Your right “you dunno”
 
Our starters got hammered. TT was -25, Love -21, Sexton -18, Cedi -14 and Exum -8 in 18 minutes. Their starters were all between +12 and +24 except one. Jrue Holiday did it all, even blocking four shots, and he made Love look bad several times. Kevin had a tough game, going 2-for-10 on 3's.

Our second unit was far better than our starters with Nance leading the way with 17 points on only 10 shots while adding 11 boards 7 assists, and 2 steals. The big man was doing it all except blocking shots, which he can't seem to get the hang of. Porter scored 21 points in 26 minutes and played good defense, even forcing Holiday to turn it over a couple of times. But KPJ still tends to dribble too much which led to three turnovers.

The Pelicans shot 53.4% from the field and had 29 assists. Yes, they had 62 points in the paint. The Cavs are last in the NBA in points allowed in the paint and it showed tonight. It was layup after layup for the Pelis.

That second unit of Delly, Porter, McKinnie, Henson and Nance looked very good, bringing the Cavs back from being down by 22 to being down by 10 with a 12-0 run late in the 3rd quarter. They got as close as 8 points but ran out of gas halfway through the 4th quarter. There's a lot of defense and athleticism on that unit. When Garland returns he'll take Delly's spot. Delly had a good game running that second unit.

After the game Brad Daugherty was saying Nance needs more minutes and suggested he should be starting. Brad also said he expects Porter to move into the starting lineup at some point.

The Pelicans are very good now that they have Zion. Daugherty and Carr were very impressed. There's no shame in losing to this team, especially on the second night of a back-to-back. They also like McKinnie, saying that if he could develop a better outside shot he would be hard to handle. That's a big "if", though.

Sexton had the play of the game when he cleanly blocked Zion's dunk attempt from behind. 24 points and four more assists for Collin. His offensive game is coming along nicely and that includes his passing.

It’s a shame delly doesn’t get any meaningful minutes anymore with garland back next game .

I don't think he could really handle them at this point. He might have a good game here and there but the majority of the time he looks done as a NBA player. If he has playing 15-20 minutes a game, I think it would become apparent very quick that he was done.

He also had 2 steals, one block and no turnovers.

That'd be an interesting combination if they'd have been able to play with Windler, and he'd been able to fill that scoring role from outside. I could really see Nance and Delly in particular making use of a guy with Windler's skill, both at shooting and being able to use screens so effectively.
