Wow osmans tech decided the game lol
Let's not forget Nance's tech at the end of the first half when he launched a Hail Mary from half court and got slapped on the arm. No foul was called and Nance gave the ref a sarcastic "thumbs up" in his face. Morris hit the technical to start the third quarter.
That's two points thrown away by players making gestures at the refs. Exum and Porter, hitting 75% and 76.5% of their free throws this season, went 2-for-8 from the line in regulation time. All we needed was 3-for-8. Then there was the lazy inbounds pass from Cedi to Love that Robinson easily intercepted and dunked.
Little things. Don't gesture at the refs. Make your free throws. Don't make lazy inbounds passes. A little defense would also be nice. The Cavs let the 28th ranked scoring team get 127 in regulation time and 12 more in OT. Shameful.
With Thompson out they had to let Cedi guard Morris. That was a mismatch. Morris got 22 points in the second half and OT.
There were a few silver linings; 34 assists to 14 turnovers, Love's huge game (maybe folks around the league will notice he can still play), Sexton with a season high 7 assists to go with 29 points, and Nance with a line of 18/8/6 as a starter.
Our bench got outscored 61-25, however. With Clarkson gone we only have two guys who can score a little off the bench - Porter and Nance. With Nance starting we only got 25 from the bench against a bad defensive team.
