Game Thread 2019-20 Season Game #63 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs Denver Nuggets | March 7th, 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Pretty wild that Colin took just one shot in the fourth quarter(he played all 12 minutes of it) and we still came out with the win.

Refs were consistent all game I'll say that. Not calling anything both ways.

Can't complain about anyone tonight, they played great..JBB has this team fighting and competing. Might have been our best most exciting game this year.

He is still an all star level talent when he is engaged, but as the leader criticism is part of the role.

I had the, I guess privilege, of not watching the Cavs at all for about two months because being a West Coaster with two kids in school, catching Cavs games live requires incredible effort.

I will say that once I got back into it there were a lot of die-hard Cavs fans who made up their mind while Love's play on the court, especially with Sexton, didn't deserve it. It's okay to see a player look bad, give him tons of shit, then see him play well and change your opinion of that player. Really, it's okay to change opinions when the play of the Cavs deserves it. Some folk on the website become inflexible on players when they were both good and bad.

This team had roster issues that expose players constantly. Tonight they found a way to knock out a VERY good team at full strength. That means our vets showed the rooks and young bloods they can be winners. We should be thrilled with this win as fans because it helped Sexton develop a ln alpha mindset... and the vets got him there.

Like I said a few pages ago, they wanted this game over before 10pm. it was pretty obvious right from the start. I generally have no problem with it as long as they're consistent, but the lack of calls for Collin with the way he is probing and attacking the defense when I watch other guys get bailed out on touchy calls... it is a little maddening.

But other than that, no huge issues with the officials. They gave a lot of leeway to both sides which I'm cool with.

...and this is now becoming a trend.

Make no mistake, this team was awful in mind, body and spirit for most of the season and KLove was at the core of the misery.

But things have obviously changed and there's no sense in holding on to petty resentments. KLove and Tristan are still the two holdovers from the best 4 year run of any franchise not named Golden State in the last decade-plus. I still want to root for those guys and extol their virtues. They've made it much easier to do so recently.

I can't complain about tonight's game but the team needs to cut down on the turnovers though...

Delly as lead guard really made a difference tonight. It's just different when you have a high IQ veteran running point rather than a rookie still finding his way in the league. Perhaps that's why we read here recently that the front office is looking to add a high IQ veteran PG this summer.

I recorded this game AND watched it live, which is a rarity. I'm keeping this one through until next season starts. Delly just showed Garland a master's class on the offensive potential of the players around him.

Where did you read that? Source?

Went to my first game in a couple years yesterday. I’m so incredibly impressed with the renovations made to the arena. It’ll make a great host for the ASG in a few years. The fact it was a great game was the icing on the cake. I haven’t watched them at all this season but was pleasantly surprised by their fight, especially being so short-handed.
