Game Thread | 2020-2021 Season | Game #52 | Raptors @ Cavs | April 10, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It may not work but this is hardly the lineup to judge that by.
They absolutely require a shot blocker. But tonight was also lack of effort. If you are that small, you better at least move your feet and compete.

The 1st quarter mostly yea.

And then Trent couldn't miss anything.

And then their entire team couldn't miss anything.

Reminds me of some of those LeBron Cavs games. One game where they hit like 11 3s in the 1st quarter and set a record against the Clippers.

Even if the other team is playing poor defense, that's still unusual. Tonight was unusual.

That first half they were the Clevelan Cavaliers.

Absolutely pathetic as they scored inside, then outside.

Kevin Love with defense, MY ASS!

i saw that delly was taken out like you suggested and then the team gave up 3 easy buckets, you must not have seen it because you didn't say anything so i'm trying to keep you up to date on what happened

what i see is the cavs playing incredibly soft, delly unfortunately must play on this team and cavaliers fans are blaming the victim
Oh god stfu
You make the rest of us delly fans look like clowns

This was a super flukey game. Hope Darius is ok.

Hartenstein partially willed them back in when they got within 12. That felt like Karma for some of those games the cavs would shoot Toronto into the ground.

wait so do you want me to lie and act like something else is true? why? to avoid hurting the feelings of sexton and/or garland fans?

the only person who should stfu is the person who wanted delly out of the game after making a bad play, that unit did really well getting 4 stops and a turnover to end the 3rd quarter then grabbed 3 more turnovers in the 4th quarter and got the lead down to 12 only a minute beforehand

delly wasn't personally involved in those moves but whenever he is on the court the team usually plays harder, if you were a true delly fan you would already understand this and direct your anger at the red

You can’t hope to stop Hartenstein! You can only hope to contain him!

Missed the game tonight! So let me get this straight....the Cavs got whacked by a bunch of scrubs and made Trent look like George Gervin????? WTF????

Great learning experience

Hope they learn that when you play a team with their three best players out and the fourth recently traded you're playing a bunch of bench guys who can't wait to show they deserve to be starters and are going to come out with focus and intensity. If you don't match that intensity and come in fat, dumb, and happy expecting an easy win you're going to get run out the gym. Fast.

This game was lost in the first quarter when the Cavs were outscored by 21 points. They lost by 20. The lesson is that games can be lost in the first quarter, even to a team of backups.

Gary Trent Jr was a 2nd round pick in 2018 who is still 22 years old, but he put 44 on the Cavs in 19 shots. He's averaging 15.5 ppg this season. His second highest scoring game this year was 31.

Their rookie point guard who was taken with the #29 pick (Flynn) had 20 points and 11 assists, outplaying Garland. That's two guys drafted late 1st and early 2nd round in the last three years who combined for 64 points and 15 assists.

Bickerstaff said the Cavs didn't show any grit. Can't argue with that.

Toronto is the smartest organization in the NBA. Check out their roster and where they were drafted...

Kyle Lowry 24th
Pascal Siakam 27th
Og Anunoby 23rd
Malachi Flynn 29th
Fred VanVleet undrafted
Chris Boucher undrafted

This is one organization that has no interest in tanking for the draft. They do better than anybody else with late 1sts, early 2nds, and undrafted free agents.

The Cavs could learn from them.
