Game Thread | 2020-2021 Season | Game #53 | Pelicans @ Cavs | April 11, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This group on the floor can’t get stops. And when they get a missed shot they can’t control the rebound.

Cedi played 23 minutes so far tonight: that was 23 minutes too many.

Good for Wade. He is balling out after being tragic the past five games.

Wade’s third steal of the game after a 2 steal, 2 block game last night, but hey, all he’s capable of doing is standing wide open at the 3P line and nothing else.

I mean with Sexton, Garland, Nance, and Allen all out, not really sure what the other options are

You can't win close games if no one can go create a shot. Give the ball to Okoro. See what he comes up with.

The cost of spacing on this team is defense. One day that won't be the case. Still mad that a winnable game wasn't won.

Still like what Okoro has done tonight. Cavs are better with him on the floor than without, even absent Sexland.

Maybe Wade at SF is his sweet spot.
Okoro at SG. He just plays better.
Hartenstein is a foul machine. But I like his game.
I would like to see more of MK. I wanna see if he set good screens.

I think that Okoro is the ultimate, play the right way guy. As a rookie trying to learn and be a two way player as well as fit in with his teammates, I think he has intentionally been less aggressive then he ultimately is and will be long term. Weve seen little glimpses of it over the past few games(barring yesterdays disaster) and tonight with the top 4 players out, he didn’t defer nearly as much. I do believe that naturally in year two and three Yu will start to see him be much more agressive in taking his own shots and not worrying as much about deferring to other guys. Obviously I could be wrong and we’ll need to see him do that.

that late game nervous offense hoping that someone can hit a shot instead of working to get someone open

it usually happens like that but its delly fault now because he is meant to be better than that, he got excited as well and tried it
